Dr. Sunil Gupta spoke at the 4th Cardio-Metabolic Conference at Hotel Hilton, Chennai, on “Insulin Injection-Induced Lipohypertrophy: A Common but Poorly Addressed Entity.” He highlighted that the prevalence of lipohypertrophy in Type 1 DM is 60–70%, while in Type 2 DM it is 30–35%. This increases the risk of unexplained hypoglycemia, glycemic variability, and ketoacidosis. Awareness about Injection Techniques and F**T Guidelines is mandatory for every clinician and diabetes educator. Congratulations to Dr. S. Chandrasekar and team.
