Mood swings aren’t always “just mood swings.”
Sometimes it’s not about being “too emotional”
It could be something deeper… like Bipolar Disorder

A condition where a person experiences
Extreme highs (mania)
and
Deep lows (depression)
It’s often misunderstood
Ignored
Or mislabeled

But here’s the truth
It is real. It is medical. And it is treatable.

Signs you shouldn’t ignore
• Sudden bursts of extreme energy or confidence
• Risky or impulsive decisions
• Followed by intense sadness or withdrawal
• Sleep disturbances
• Difficulty functioning in daily life

What people need isn’t judgment
It’s understanding, support, and the right treatment
Mental health is not a weakness
It’s health

Think that daily cold brew is a "clean" energy boost? Think again. Most trendy cafe iced coffees are basically milkshakes in disguise. 🥤❌

Loaded with hidden sugars, processed dairy, and artificial syrups, these drinks do more than just give you a caffeine kick—they spike your insulin and disrupt your cortisol levels.

The Hidden Cost of Your Caffeine Fix:
For young professionals and students, this "innocent" habit often leads to:

Stubborn Belly Fat: Constant insulin spikes tell your body to store fat, not burn it.

Hormonal Acne: High sugar and dairy intake are major triggers for breakouts.

The 11 AM Crash: That "healthy" coffee is the reason you’re starving and exhausted before lunch even hits.

Most of us grab a cold coffee thinking it’s a "lighter" choice than traditional chai, but the hidden additives are sabotaging your health goals.

Stop the Hormone Sabotage!
You don't have to give up your caffeine fix, you just need a better version.

📌 Save this post before you place your next cafe order!

It happens more often than we admit.
You meet someone new… but your mind keeps going back to the past.

Comparison feels natural.

But in relationships, it can quietly damage something that hasn’t even had a fair chance yet.

Here’s the truth
• Every relationship is different with different people and dynamics
• Constant comparison can create unrealistic expectations
• It prevents you from being fully present with your partner
• It can make your partner feel judged for something they were never part of

Your past relationship is meant to teach you, not define your future.

Instead of comparing
Learn what worked
Understand what hurt
And build something healthier with awareness

A strong relationship is not about finding someone like your past
It is about creating something better than your past

EP 9
Artificial vs Natural Supplements: What Your Kidneys Need to Know
Many people take supplements believing that “natural means safe” and “more vitamins mean better health.”

But when it comes to kidney health, not every supplement is harmless.
Both artificial and natural supplements can affect the kidneys if taken without proper medical guidance.

Things to keep in mind
• High dose vitamin supplements can strain kidney function
• Herbal or natural products may contain substances harmful to kidneys
• Some supplements interact with medications for blood pressure or diabetes
• Excess minerals can lead to kidney stone formation

Supplements should only be taken when medically required and in the correct dosage.
Your kidneys work continuously to filter and balance substances in your body. Supporting them with balanced nutrition and medical guidance is far safer than self prescribed supplements.

For kidney health advice, consult the Nephrology team at Midas Hospital

Some relationships do not end with arguments.
They end with confusion, silence, and self doubt.

Gaslighting makes a person question their own memory, emotions, and reality.

Ghosting leaves someone suddenly cut off without explanation.

Together, these behaviors can cause deep emotional damage in a relationship.

People who experience gaslighting or ghosting often feel
• Confused about what really happened
• Anxious and emotionally drained
• A loss of trust in others
• A decline in self confidence
• Difficulty forming new relationships

Healthy relationships are built on communication, respect, and emotional accountability.
Silence and manipulation are not normal conflict resolution methods.

Understanding these patterns is the first step toward protecting your emotional well being.
At Midas Mental Health and Psychiatry, we believe relationship awareness is an important part of mental health.

Life Saving Emergency Surgery at Midas Hospital
A 10 year old child was brought to the hospital after accidentally swallowing a sharp metallic pin while playing.

Soon after, the child developed mild abdominal pain, prompting immediate medical evaluation.
Investigations revealed that the needle shaped pin had passed from the stomach into the small intestine.
Due to the sharp nature of the object and the risk of intestinal damage, emergency surgery was planned.

The procedure was successfully performed by Dr. Ayush Diyewar, Consultant General Surgeon, using a minimally invasive laparoscopic approach to safely remove the metallic pin from the small intestine.

Outcome
• The foreign body was removed safely
• No complications occurred
• The child recovered well and returned to normal life

⚠️ Important message for parents
Small objects like pins, coins, batteries, and sharp items can be extremely dangerous if swallowed. Early medical attention can prevent serious complications.
At Midas Hospital, timely diagnosis and expert surgical care help save lives even in critical emergencies.
