AYUSHMAN AROGYA SHIVIR/NIKSHAY SHIVIR Conducted on 6th April 2026 at Govt Kabrey Secondary School.

A 100 Days Active case finding shivir under National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme:

During the SHIVIR 14yrs and above aged students, school staffs and villagers were screened for active Tuberculosis through chest xray, the SHIVIR had presence of Medical Officer in charge for onsite consultation and xray interpretation along with the Xray technician and Staff Nurse from Namthang PHC.

Throughout the screening process, Head Master Kabrey Secondary School and Staff supported the team for the smooth process of screening.

Team KABREY HWC consisting of MLHP and ASHAs coordinated the whole screening process and its reporting on prescribed portals.

WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY 24TH MARCH 2026

Today on the occasion of World TUBERCULOSIS Day ,District Tuberculosis Center ,Namchi handed over the certificate for TB free health and wellness center to Kabrey HWC.

This is the result of continuous efforts of health workers ,ASHAs and AWWs working tirelessly under the jurisdiction of Kabrey HWC covering the six wards of Karek Kabrey Gpu.

Health and Wellness Centre, Kabrey would also like to thank the villagers (specifically elderlys) for cooperating us during the screening process ,they not only visited the HWC or screening camps but also visited District Hospital for Xray screening without hesitation and our ASHAs has played tremendous role in accommodating them for screening camp to taking them to District hospital for XRAY.

We would also like to thank Mr Bal Krishna Sharma of Samardung who supported us by giving their personal residence area for the screening camp at Samardung not just once but for multiple times.

During the year more then 300 high-risk categorised individuals were screened for active and latent Tuberculosis on which 5 individuals were detected for latent Tuberculosis who went through 3months course treatment and are already free of TB infection risk in future.
4 cases for active Tuberculosis were detected on which 2 were pulmonary and 2 was extra pulmonary tuberculosis, all cases are under active supervision of Kabrey HWC and are verge of completing their 6months TB treatment.

Our efforts do not end here, elimination of Tuberculosis from our community needs more active support of Community, stake holders and public representatives in coming days too.

NATIONAL DEWORMING DAY observed at various Schools, AWCs and at villages by ASHAs under KABREY HWC.

IEC activities on personal hygiene, worm infestation, importance of NDD and hand washing steps were practiced by ASHAs, AWWs and Health Nodal teachers.

Team visited each house holds of the ward and collected relevant data from the households and inquired about the Various health care need of the individuals and Community.

Adolescent Health And Wellness day with the theme NUTRITION AND WELLNESS observed today at Kabrey HWC.

IEC activities, interactive questions and answers session along with Anthropometric measurements done during the session.

Students actively participated and engaged in the session.

Topics like adolescent health, nutrition, balanced diet, Prevention of NCDs , Iron deficiency anemia, social & mental health along with basic hygiene practice were covered on the session.

Team KABREY HWC consisting of MPHW, OFFICE ASSISTANT and AREA ASHA visited Various homes at Lower Kabrey and Jholungay area for Community Need Assessment Survey for financial year 2026-2027.

Team inspected the village for the collection of demographic data of Community, disease prevalence, Immunisation coverage , need of family welfare services and to understand the socio and economic status of the Community residing in the village.

Many new house holds and newly married eligible couples were registered and due children for immunisation were traced and recorded for planning of immunisation session on upcoming months.

A Coordination meeting cm training to HWC staff, ASHAs and AWWs conduted today at Kabrey HWC

Orientation training given to HWC staff, ASHAs and AWWs on CNA survey, Microplan, Routine immunisation, AEFI and upcoming National Deworming Day.

Discussed on target based performance of HWC for Various health programs, planning and preparation of survey map and the workplan for the month of March.

Community need assessment survey is a vital activity of HWC through which all the targets and achievements are prepared for upcoming financial year. It is also done to understand the demographical, social and cultural status of the community through which health workers plans the need based programs for particular group of community.

Community health is not just about curative services but also mainly focused on preventive and promotive aspects of health care services.

KABREY HWC: VHND cm LEPROSY SCREENING Camp in collaboration with National Leprosy Eradication Programme conduted today at Samardung industrial area.

Total 60 individuals were screened for Leprosy, NCD and others communicable diseases. Consultation made for Various skin conditions by Dr Kalzang (Dermatologist) from District Hospital, Namchi along with free distribution of prescribed medicines by pharmacist.

NCD follow up and teleconsultation done for new suspected cases with disbursement of need based medicines.

11th February 2026: Encouraging Normal Delivery of Baby ; Providing Door step free of cost quality health care services to community through AYUSHMAN BHARAT HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTER.

A mother from lower Kabrey delivered her healthy baby girl at Kabrey HWC today morning at 7:24Am.

Staffs of HWC Kabrey promptly attended the case at 6am and ensured the safe delivery of baby by providing an essential care and support to mother.

Both mother and baby is in good condition and is admitted for observational care.

This is 18th baby born at HWC Kabrey since 2020.

Team KABREY HWC thanks the mother for trusting and choosing our health center for safe delivery of her precious new born.
