The blood heros of Sikkim is an organization for selfless service to the mankind during their need and by blood donation It was a matter of early 2000 i.e.

when we are in the college more of our people are dying due to un availability of blood and its component because at the time people are not aware about voluntary blood donation there are a handful of contentious youth working in this field just make them satisfied by doing something good to the society and this Nobel feeling led to established this organization for those who are in battle with go

ddess of death and have numerous dream behind and to just give them a smile of hope on 8th march 2008 we come togather with VBDAS and today we are able to save thousandsd of lives so come with us do something good which will give you the satisfaction of your birth indeed.

Today ,As part of the celebration of Nurses Day Week, the Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of Sikkim Professional College of Nursing organized and participated in a Voluntary Blood Donation Programme today at the Blood Bank of STNM Multispeciality Hospital, Sochakgang, Sichey, Gangtok.
A total of 17 students from Sikkim Professional College of Nursing and Sikkim Professional College of Pharmacy voluntarily donated their precious blood for the noble cause of saving lives and supporting needy patients. Their selfless contribution reflects the true spirit of humanity, compassion, and social responsibility.
The programme highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and encouraged youth participation in saving lives through the gift of “Red Gold.

Today, the Voluntary Blood Donor Association of Sikkim (VBDAS), led by our Chief Advisor Dr. Baroon S***a, State President Mr. Kishor Baniya Chettri, Treasurer Mr. Bishnu Chettri, along with VBDAS members, visited the residence of Mr. Bikash Chettri, Founder Member and Former President of VBDAS, to offer our heartfelt condolences on the demise of his beloved mother.
We, the entire VBDAS family, express our deepest sorrow to the bereaved family during this difficult time. No words can truly ease the pain of such a loss, but please know that you are not alone in your grief. We stand with you in this moment of sorrow and extend our prayers for strength, peace, and comfort.

Today, 8 voluntary blood heroes of Sikkim celebrated their special birthday at the Central Blood Centre, STNM Hospital, Gangtok. They marked their day by donating blood—giving the gift of life to someone in need tomorrow.

On the 15th of every month, the Voluntary Blood Donor Association of Sikkim organizes a Birthday Special Voluntary Blood Donation Camp for patients admitted to STNM Hospital, Gangtok. This meaningful initiative provides an opportunity for voluntary donors to celebrate their birthdays in a noble way—by saving lives.

At the same time, it helps raise awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation for needy patients.

🌍 On the Occasion of World Health Day 2026 🩸

The Red Ribbon Club and NSS, B.Ed College Soreng, along with the Red Ribbon Club, Government Science College Chakung, in collaboration with the Voluntary Blood Donor Association of Sikkim, successfully organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at the B.Ed College Auditorium Hall, Soreng.
The camp received technical support from the Blood Centre, District Hospital Namchi.
More than 200 voluntary donors from B.Ed College Soreng, Government Science College Chakung, Red Ribbon Club K.B. Limboo Senior Secondary School Sribadam, and Red Ribbon Club Government Senior Secondary School Chakung registered their names for this noble cause. Out of them, 117 units of precious “Red Gold” were successfully collected for the benefit of poor and needy patients admitted in various hospitals across Sikkim.
On behalf of the Voluntary Blood Donor Association of Sikkim (VBDAS) and the Red Ribbon Club Sikkim family, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every voluntary blood hero who donated their precious blood.
Your 350 ml of blood can give a new life to someone tomorrow. ❤️
