All LUTS cases are not simple. Some require a detailed evaluation and sometimes surgical correction.
Here is a case of a 55 year old male patient with severe lower urinary tract symptoms. He was evaluated and diagnosed to have GUTB and was on ATT since 4 months. His symptoms persisted and had increased frequency of micturition every half an hour. After several consultations at several hospitals, he was referred for the relief of his constant desire to urinate. He was evaluated and found to have a small capacity bladder with grade IV VUR. He was counselled and taken up for augmentation cystoplasty where a segment of the bowel is taken and used to increased the capacity of the bladder. His post operative period was uneventful.
He was extremely happy to get relieved from his symptoms.

Recently, he successfully completed a surgery on a 10month old child - laparoscopic dismembered pyeloplasty in partial duplex kidney- that only a handful of doctors can do. Congratulations to Dr. D.
