This is a case of anencephaly where skull and brain is incomplete. Easiest way to prevent this defect is to start taking-tab folic acid 5 mg 3 months before planning your pregnancy . Kindly give your wives tab folic acid soon after marriage so that such defects can be avoided even if pregnancy occurs accidentally.
