Earlier when I saw this picture.... didn't understand the meaning behind it... .

It turns out that the cat has seen a snake's tail sticking out of a small hole and the cat thought that it was a rat's tail, so he wanted to pull it and tease it until it came out... .

Then I realized that... This photo is the work of the famous Italian illustrator Marco Melgrati,

the meaning of his painting: "You never know who you're playing with, without knowing the risks, because we are packed with today's qualities like ignorance, show-off, hard work, quick solutions etc.".

In today's fast & busy life, what we see is only a tiny fraction of the truth....

If we see others suffering of health closely, their lives burdens on others, chasing hope, counting days, away from joy of celebrations, away from charm & professionalism etc. etc.

What are we doing ?? We consider our health conditions as rat's tail & never guess that the real cobra behind the wall.

So give priority to your health.
Never ignore your health conditions.
Don't play with cobra's tail by considering it as a rat's tail.
Finally, life does matter, so health is important.

The case of Shahbaz is profoundly distressing. The child was bitten by a neighbor's dog a month ago but kept it a secret. He applied haldi to the wound, and within a few weeks, he began exhibiting symptoms of rabies, including a fear of water and light. Sadly, he succumbed to the illness in his parents' arms. Imagine the agony of parents helplessly watching their child go through this.

Rabies has no cure. No patient recovers. It has a 100% mortality rate. That's why you should do everything you can to prevent dog bites, especially when it comes to children.

Here are some important points to share with kids/parents to avoid the deadly consequences of Rabies

1. A bite, piercing skin, allowing saliva contact with body mucus/ blood can transmit Rabies. Can be from a bite of a dog, cat, bat, monkeys and even rodents.

2. The first thing to do is inform an adult about it so that the animal can be identified and restrained so that more bites are avoided. A rabid animal will die in 7-10 days.

3. Wash the wound under running tap water for 3-5 minutes, with gentle application of soap. DO NOT vigorously rub the wound as that may push the virus into the blood stream through more mucosal damage.

4. See a doctor within the first 24hrs for anti-rabies vaccine. If indicated then dosage will be on 0, 3, 7, 14 and 30 days or as per the Physicians advice.

5. Keep a watch on the animal for 10 days. If it dies within 10 days, treat the child more aggressively.

Symptoms of rabies are fever, headache, excess salivation, muscle spasms, paralysis and mental confusion.

Note - Scratches don't cause rabies. However if there is an open wound and the animal licks it then transmission is possible though rare. Petting a rabid animal does not cause rabies. It does not spread through air or droplets.
