πβ¨ Case of the Day @ Siddhant Eye Hospital β¨π
A young patient walked in with complaints of irritation, redness, and watering after a suspected foreign body entry in the eye. π
On examination, we found:
β
Corneal abrasion due to the foreign body
β
No retained particle inside the eye (thankfully!)
The corneal surface is very sensitive β even a tiny scratch can cause severe pain, watering & light sensitivity. After a thorough examination and removal of debris, we applied a protective eye patch to aid healing and comfort. ππ
π‘ Takeaway Tip:
Always wear protective glasses while working outdoors, during two-wheeler rides, or in dusty environments. Prevention is always better than cure when it comes to the eyes! πβ¨
The patient is already feeling better and is on the way to a smooth recovery. πΈ
