Persons with diabetes are aware that consumption of table-sugar can increase blood glucose levels. Many feel that jaggery is healthy and natural alternative for table-sugars, and is a source good of vitamins and minerals. Is jaggery really a good alternative for sugar? Jaggery, just like table-sugar, is also a product of sugarcane juice. It is loaded with sucrose [a type of sugar], and can rapidly raise blood sugar levels. It is recommended that jaggery is consumed in small quantities. There are better sources of minerals and vitamins than jaggery in our diet.

In part 1 of this episode, we have discussed in detail about microelements such as iodine, zinc, selenium, iron etc. In this present episode, we deal in depth about various elimination diets.
