Think knee injuries only happen after 50? Not anymore.
We’re seeing more young people deal with knee pain and injuries today and it’s not random.
Sedentary lifestyles, long hours of sitting, sudden intense workouts, poor form during exercise, lack of muscle strength, and even being overweight can all put extra stress on the knees. Add sports without proper warm-up or recovery, and the risk goes even higher.
Early signs often get ignored like mild pain while climbing stairs, stiffness after sitting, or discomfort during workouts. Over time, these can turn into bigger issues like ligament injuries or cartilage damage.
The good news? Most of this is preventable.
Building strength (especially around the knees), maintaining proper form, staying active consistently (not suddenly), and listening to your body can go a long way.
Don’t wait for the pain to become serious. Take care of your knees now so they support you for years to come.
