In my recent story regarding the most common disorders in age group 25-35 you all have voted in majority for hormonal disorders,so before jumping to solutions let's understand and learn about some common and gender specific hormonal disorders.
Common hormonal disease in both gender of age group 25-35y:
1. THYROID DISORDERS- Thyroid disorder could be both hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. Caused by stress, bad lifestyle habits, iodine deficiency, sedentary lifestyle.
2. DIABETES - Diabetes is caused due to deficiency or insufficiency of insulin hormone released by pancreas.
3. Obesity- Obesity is metabolism disorder caused to hormonal imbalance again stress and lifestyle habits have major contribution in causing it.
4. High cortisol levels- Cortisol is a hormone usually released in stress situation but nowadays people due to overthinking and anxiety signals their body that it is in stress due to which cortisol is released to fight the stress.
Gender specific hormonal disorders
In Females-
1. PCOD - PCOS/PCOD have now became extremely common, every third female is suffering from PCOD which causes menstrual problems like amenorrhea,dysmenorrhea, metorrhagia or menorrhagia.
2. Infertility - Infertility and PCOD are interconnected to each other. PCOD causes difficulty in ovulation which hampers the fertility of the female.
3. Premenstrual syndrome- As all female commonly states that " I am PMSing" which means mood swings, hot flashes, fatigue, bodyache, cramping, nausea, vomiting or vertigo. PMS symptoms differ from individual to individual
4. Osteoporosis - After 30 there is downward trending in the estrogen hormone which slower down the absorption of calcium in bones causing weak osteoporotic bones.
In Males
1. Low testosterone - Low testosterone causes symptoms like low libido, erectile dysfunction,tiredness and hair loss.
2. Increase in estrogen- The estrogen in males sometimes increases due to low testosterone causing gynecomastia.
3. Growth hormone deficiency - It is usually seen in young boys causing metabolic issues in their later age.
