rist, Optometrist, Optician, and OT-OPD Staff. The patient coming to the department will be seen by one specialist. He will be supported with opinions of Five other specialist with expertise in their chosen fields, if the case demands so. The subspecialties that are catered to the department include : Cataract, Cornea and Ocular surface disorders, Limbal stem cell transplants, Amniotic membrane transplant, Artificial Cornea (Keratoprosthesis), Refractive Cataract and Laser surgery, Inflammations, Glaucoma, Orbital pathology, Oculoplasty and Facial aesthetics, Ocular Neoplasms, Paediatric Oculoplasty, Medical Retina, Surgical Retina, Paediatric Ophthalmology and Squint, General & sports Ophthalmology and Trauma care including accidents and sports. Also included are Low vision management, Contact Lens therapy (Therapeutic and Cosmetic), Ocularist treatment for Cosmesis and Rehabilitation. We are also supported by e-solutions from various experts from overseas who have personal and professional contacts with oue specialists. We have already been accredited to function as an Eye Donation and Keratoplasty Center and plan to evolve as a full-fledged Eye Bank. We have also started Sports Ophthalmology which aims to enhance performance of athletes with improvement in their vision parameters and Paediatric Oculoplasty for congenital eye anomalies. We also lay great emphasis on research and publications to evolve as a department.
