What you believe becomes you.
Many people believe their problems are caused by someone else or some kind of spirit. Instead of facing and solving the complexities around them, they shift the blame onto others or the supernatural, creating fictional enemies in their imagination.
These are the same people you’ll often see at church, praying and fasting almost every day, attending every crusade. They’re the first to arrive, even before the church bell rings, yet their problems remain. It’s sad to see people living like this, waiting for God to answer their prayers, when they have the brains to figure things out. Instead, they convince themselves they’re bewitched and live their lives under this belief, as if something has taken control over them.
It’s especially disappointing to see educated people fall into this trap of mental imprisonment, believing their inability to get a job, for instance, is caused by a villager or some spirit.
Nothing is disturbing or “killing” you except your own mindset. Instead of using the mind you have, you’re caught up in meaningless beliefs. Don’t you realize that these beliefs can shape your reality? What you believe becomes who you are—it’s that simple. Every dream, vision, or trance is a result of what you project to the universe, which the universe then sends back to you. Most people don’t understand how this works and don’t realize that their suffering is self-created.
Since you know this simple truth now, don’t waste time crying, praying endlessly, or fasting to the point of illness. Instead, change your mentality and use your mind to address the complex issues you’re facing. Don’t rely on prayer and fasting alone to solve them.
