Empowering Future Physicians!

The "Introduction to FAST (Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma)" Workshop at Dy Patil Medical Simulation Lab was a crucial step in equipping the medical interns of – School of Medicine with essential skills for trauma assessment.

Utilizing ’s - high-fidelity ultrasound simulator and Apollo – high-fidelity patient simulator, this hybrid workshop covered not only FAST but also advanced trauma care management. Through hands-on practice, participants enhanced their confidence and competence in real-life critical trauma assessments.

Together, we’re building a foundation for better patient outcomes in trauma care!

The "Hands-on Ultrasound Guided & Virtual Reality Procedures for Anaesthesiologists" workshop at ’s OT for the Department of Anaesthesia was a remarkable success. Participants engaged in immersive learning using Elevate Healthcare's and the revolutionary Vantari VR - Emergency & Critical Care Virtual Reality simulator, mastering advanced techniques such as:

USG guided Spinal Epidural Catheterization
USG guided Lumbar Puncture
USG guided Central Venous Catheterisation

The leading cause of disability and death in the prime of life is due to trauma. It is the need of the hour to equip healthcare professionals working in hospitals, especially in the emergency department with the knowledge, skills, and expertise needed to deal with traumatic injury cases.

Through immersive and hand-on simulation scenarios in the ‘Trauma Care Management Workshop’ the students of D.Y Patil University School of Nursing, Nerul New Mumbai, practiced critical decision-making, teamwork, and emergency procedures for treating traumatic injuries. By bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, the simulation lab is preparing the next generation of compassionate, skilled nurses.
