The Department of Pharmacology, Oriental College of Pharmacy successfully organized a Seminar & E-Poster Making Competition on the occasion of 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week on 20th September 2025.

📖 The seminar featured insightful sessions by:
🔹 Mr. Vishal Deshmukh (Manager, TCS Mumbai) – Role of AI in Pharmacovigilance
🔹 Dr. Vinod Gupta (Associate Professor, Dept. of Pharmacology, OCP) – Pharmacovigilance – Strongest Domain in Clinical Research

🎨 The E-Poster Competition witnessed enthusiastic participation on topics such as:

Pharmacovigilance in Regulatory Perspective

Digital Tools & AI in PV

ADR Reporting & Prevention Strategies

Role of Pharmacists in Promoting PV Awareness

Role of PV in Patient Safety

Oriental College of Pharmacy is proud to announce the publication of a research article by Dr. Vandana Jain (HoD, Department of Quality Assurance), Mr. Melroy D’Sa (Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics), and Mr. Alexlivingston Nadar (M. Pharm Research Scholar, Department of Quality Assurance).

Their paper, titled "Stability-indicating RP-HPLC method development and validation for simultaneous quantification of ciprofloxacin, curcumin, and piperine in a novel topical dosage form," appears in the prestigious Elsevier’s Microchemical Journal, (Impact Factor: 5.1, CiteScore: 7.2).
