The intervention program begins with an extensive assessment process.

Aakaar Child development Center adheres to a philosophy of love and acceptance of the child and the use of a highly individualized, structured program for each child. Through its various intervention programmes, the center offers an eclectic mix of behaviour based methods and structured teaching. Elements of TEACCH, Applied behaviour Analysis (ABA), Neurodevelopment Therapy, Sensory Integration, Handwriting Remediation, Verbal Behaviour Analysis (VBA), various forms of Assisted and Augmentative Communication (AAC) including Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS) are a part of the methods used.

My 45-day internship at Aakaar Child Development Center was a truly enriching experience. The supportive environment and hands-on learning helped me grow both personally and professionally. Chandralata Ma’am’s guidance gave me clear direction, and Maithili Ma’am shared valuable insights during occupational therapy sessions. Vimmi Ma’am especially helpful during group OT. She is kind and encouraging. I’m also thankful to Anjali Ma’am, Poonam Ma’am, Suchitra Ma’am, Tanzim Ma’am, Soniya Ma’am, and Sangeeta Ma’am for their constant support during speech sessions. The team’s dedication to each child’s progress was evident in every session, and their management skills are commendable. I’m grateful for the exposure and would highly recommend this internship to anyone passionate about child development.

My internship at the Child Development Center was an enriching professional experience that provided meaningful exposure to multiple disciplines, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, and special education. In the Speech Therapy Department, I had the opportunity to observe and support Mrs. Suchitra Shetty, Mrs. Sangeeta Shetty, Ms. Tanzeem, Mrs. Anjali Pandey and Mrs. Poonam, whose expertise in language development and individualized intervention strategies greatly enhanced my understanding of communication disorders. Within Occupational Therapy, I worked under the guidance of Ms. Maithili Dethe and Ms. Mubasharra where I developed hands-on skills in facilitating activities that promote motor coordination, sensory regulation, and daily living functions. My internship at the Child Development Center was a highly enriching experience that offered valuable exposure to speech therapy, occupational therapy, and special education.
In Speech Therapy, I had the opportunity to observe and assist Suchitra ma'am, Sangeeta ma'am, Tanzeem ma'am, Anjali ma'am, and Poonam ma'am, whose expertise in language development and individualized interventions greatly deepened my understanding of communication disorders.
In Occupational Therapy, under the guidance of Maithili ma'am and Mubasharra ma'am, I developed hands-on skills supporting motor coordination, sensory integration, and daily living tasks.
In Special Education, I was mentored by Soniya ma'am and Tanzeem ma'am, who demonstrated effective teaching and behavior management strategies tailored to diverse learning needs.
The administrative team, including the receptionist, Vimmi ma'am was warm and efficient, contributing to a smooth, supportive environment. I’m also thankful to the CEO, Dr. Chandralata Sharma whose leadership was evident in the center’s professionalism and collaborative culture.
Overall, this internship has been a key step in my professional development. I highly recommend Aakaar Child Development Center to future interns seeking a well-rounded, practical learning experience.

We've been associated with AAKAAR CENTRE for the past 3 years, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. The therapists are highly professional, compassionate, and truly understand the unique needs of each child. What I appreciate most is how structured, specific, and goal-oriented their programs are. Each session is thoughtfully designed to support individual development, and I’ve seen tremendous improvement in my son—especially in his behavioral and emotional growth. The entire team is warm, approachable, and genuinely invested in the well-being of every child. I’m so grateful for their consistent support and dedication. Chandralata Mam is very good at her work, her dedication and hard work towards the development of child is quite impressive, i have seen a major changes in my Son's overall development, as compared to day one till date, and in my recent assessment with my Son's Doctor the symptoms of Autism has been decreased as compared to last year assement, which is a very good sign
