The life of a Yoga teacher is like walking on a tight rope. Itโ€™s not only about physical flexibility but emotional resilience, mental equilibrium, intellectual curiosity, & above all spiritual maturity.
belawadi was already an adept in Yogasana & Pranayama when she came to Shrimath Yoga on the recommendation of Arun Seetharam โœจ

She came to dive deep into various other aspects of Yoga such as Mudra, Kriya, Bandha, Yoga Nidra, Antar Mouna, Mouna, Meditation & Yoga philosophy.

Teju was open to learning the 126 Yogasanas & added that to her existing library of Vinyasa Yoga.

Thus, Yoga Teacher Training Course was a tool for her to sculpt herself to what she is born to be & do ie Swadharma โœจ

Do you also want to experience what Teju did? Check out our website for next batches. (Link in the bio)

Of late many people call or message to ask what exactly is Indic Wisdom?

The time-tested principles, practices & experiences of people who lived in this great Country (some portions are not with India today) that are passed on through the parampara of Guru-Sishya as well as the families is Indic Wisdom.

Its incidental that some of it is written but a vast portion is still oral.

They observed the celestial bodies, nature around as well as โ€˜the Self withinโ€™ through the self.

One self is writing this post & you as the other self is reading it

Self is reality & self is personality.

As long as we are able to observe something other than us then we operate as self.

When this self longed to know the Self then real knowledge unfolded.

In that process the self created vast pool of resources that the otherselves could use in the journey of self to Self discovery.

Some were written & some were passed on orally with the common thread being common sense.

1) We can โ€˜learnโ€™ better from the collective experiences of those who lived in the past & observing how the Acharyas live now.

2) The principles are taught, processes are practiced to realise the wisdom embedded in the knowledge.

3) Learning happens only if practice is part of the learning process else only intellectual gymnastics happens.

The answer is that Indic Wisdom can be realised (not taught) if one follows the above 3 steps as guided by a teacher connected with living traditions.

To side step this process is demeaning & non-understanding the powerful learning system of this great Country.

What the residents of Mana (article in comments section) near Badrinath did was to embody Indic Wisdom without ever studying a certificate course on the same ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

โ€œSwarฤjya (self-rule) is my birthright and I shall fight till my last breath to achieve it.โ€ May Chhatrapati Shivฤji Maharฤjโ€™s golden words inspire us in our own pursuits as well.

Today, 19th Feb, we celebrate his legacy.

A visionary king who is forever etched in Indian history for his:
1) Staunch patriotism,
2) Strategic brilliance, and
3) Unwavering faith in the Divine.

Shivฤji wasn't just a regular mindless conqueror but he united people across diverse backgrounds by aligning them to fight for Dharma.

Let's pay our tribute to him. ๐Ÿ™

's listing of the various ways to understand the word โ€˜listeningโ€™ appear interesting ๐Ÿ™Œ

They are:

1) to pay attention to sound

2) to hear something with thoughtful attention: give consideration

3) to be alert to catch an expected sound

In these, we donโ€™t see words like interpretation, meaning, judgement etc,.

Doesnโ€™t this ring a bell ๐Ÿ”” within!

Listen โ€ฆ listen well not even to understand or interpret but to pause, formulate & playback.

Then reflection happens within both the speaker & listener that leads to right interpretation, meaning followed by understanding.

Nowโ€ฆ

Maybe let us together read this post from the start as if weโ€™re reading it out loud to someone seated before usโ€ฆ. Or before a mirror ๐Ÿชž.

Letโ€™s move onโ€ฆ

Given this context it becomes imperative to figure out

2) Then letโ€™s pose one or both the questions to ourselves โ€ฆ

โ€˜What can enable me to listen better?

โ€˜What is disabling me to listen better?

3) โ€˜What principles & practices canย

offer me to understand & practice so that I can listen better?

To explore more you are invited to attend an experiential session on 17th Feb 2025 titled

Session is part of GLOBAL CHERISH COACHING FESTIVAL conceived & cohosted by ICF South Africa & ICF New Delhi Chapter

Am honoured to play from my home ground: the ICF Bengaluru Chapter

3) You

GI4QC Forum is a place where the common thread that connects everyone there is IIT (yes, Indian Institute of Technology).

The only reason ever I had to go near IITs are the bus stops outside their entrance gates๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Yet the great blessing in life is that a majority of those who shaped my life are from IITs.

To begin with, Master Sri, my spiritual teacher is from the last 5 year batch at IIT Madras.

The Master who introduced me to Swami Dayanandaโ€™s works, Sri Amul S Bahl.

The great one who mentored to write my 1st book (fellow seeker) Sri Brij Sethi.

The founding director of Sri Sringeri Sharada Institute of Management where they taught (us) MBA with a special emphasis on Indian Shastras, Dr Surjeet Kumar Palhan.

Tomorrow is an open Masterclass organised by GI4QC where am hosted by Sri Anand Prakash.

You are cordially welcome to register & join us for an overview of

If you are already sleeping well, know how to relax and / or already know how to achieve your goals then donโ€™t need to attend.

Rest can click on the link in the Instagram story to register & join the 23 who are already in.

Thank you โœ๏ธGanesh Kalyanakrishnan & Switi Gupta for introducing & inducting me into GI4QC Forum respectively.

Arjunabettahalliโ€ฆ.. wait itโ€™s Arjunabittahalli a serene gramam ie village near Bangalore/ Bengaluru, India is where Shrimath Yoga campus is!

3 things that we are proud to be associated with areโ€ฆ.

1) Rainwater harvesting to 60 homes & a temple was the 1st initiative that was carried out with 2 generous donors. This YT video is still available!

2) Till Government of India enabled each home to own a LPG & stove, each day during our 200hr Yoga Course, for one family Shrimath students would gather & handover wood / twigs required for a week.

Once we moved in 2007, we figured out the reason mentioned in para 1 of this post. Yes, ours is one of the unique villages where we have temple for Arjuna ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Arjuna did Tapas here for sometime & a temple continues to be maintained for him. Thus, the original name is Arjuna-bitta-halli ie the village that Arjuna left ๐Ÿฆ‹

3) Itโ€™s in this rural school, Shrimath students & alumni from 45 Countries teach 40 minutes a day & also learn as the school cleanliness is managed by these kids.

Here we present yet another 12 unique villages of India like Shrimath Arjunabittahalli.

Maybe you plan to visit at least one of these 13 Villages in 2025.

World is filled with information of other people who have tasted success or yet to smell it.

These are freely strewn across the internet or available as self-help classics.

The common thread is that almost everyone who contributed to that pool of information not only had desires and the knowledge to achieve it but took ACTION!

Please read again, they took ACTION!

Many times only desire was there, the moment they took action with whatever limited knowledge they had, the knowledge to proceed further somehow reached them.

Remember: โ€˜Cosmos conspires to help those who help themselves.

Nowโ€ฆ taking action based on the available knowledge is like following Google maps or any navigation system.

As we start the journey, new insights emerge but to start and hold ourselves responsible and accountable is important.

Action alone inspires confidence. Confident action alone can effect desired outcomes.

This is the importance of moving from Desire to Insight and then to Action.

Indic Wisdom refers to these 3 stages as Iccha, Jnana & Kriya i.e. Desire, Knowledge & Action.

If we look back at any transformation that we have had experienced till now, we will find these 3 stages as an indispensable part of it.

Through application of this aspect of we can excel as an Entrepreneur, Leader, or Coach.

Do try to integrate the above in your conversations so that everytime we set out to converse with someone that could end up as one of the powerful & impactful conversations they would have ever had!

April & I have been fortunate to share this wisdom with more than 2 dozen Leaders, Coaches & Entrepreneurs since April 2024.

In case you wish to join our online or residential cohorts on Integrating Coaching Competencies with Indic Wisdom then reach out to us.
