🇮🇳 79th Independence Day Celebrations at Narayana Medical Institutions 🇮🇳

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated in a grand manner at Narayana Medical Institutions, with enthusiastic participation from students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff across all constituent institutions.

The program commenced with a Guard of Honour, followed by the Vande Mataram song, flag hoisting, and the National Anthem.
Dr. P. Sreenivasulu Reddy, Dean, Narayana Medical College, delivered an inspiring speech on the significance of the day.

Prizes were also distributed to the winners of the Har Ghar Tiranga competition, adding to the festive spirit. The celebration was a true reflection of national integration and unity.

📢 Anti-Ragging Week Inauguration 🚫

As per the directions of UGC, New Delhi, 12th August is to be observed as Anti-Ragging Day, and 12th to 18th August 2025 as Anti-Ragging Week.

Today, we inaugurated the Anti-Ragging Week at Narayana Medical College, Nellore. The event was graced by local police officers — Mr. G. Venu, Circle Inspector, Mr. K. Prasad Reddy, SI, and Mr. B. Lakshman Rao, SI from Nellore Rural Police Station — who delivered impactful speeches on anti-ragging laws and the punishments for violations.

Around 350 undergraduate students and faculty members participated, reinforcing our collective commitment to a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus.

NARAYANA HOSPITAL ON WHEELS LAUNCHED – TAKING QUALITY HEALTHCARE TO EVERY DOORSTEP!

Narayana Medical College & Hospital, Nellore, proudly launched Narayana Hospital on Wheels (NHoW) – a state-of-the-art mobile medical unit designed to deliver quality healthcare to underserved rural and urban communities.

The inauguration was led by Sri Dr. Ponguru Narayana, Hon’ble Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh, and Founder Chairman of Narayana Medical Institutions.

As per the guidelines of NMC and Dr. NTRUHS, Vijayawada, a mandatory Ethics Awareness Program was successfully conducted on 6th July 2025 at Grays Lecture Gallery, Narayana Medical College.

The session was led by Dr. V. Mahidhar Reddy, Professor & HOD, Department of General Surgery, and Coordinator, Medical Education Unit.

As part of World Breastfeeding Week celebrations, an awareness program on breastfeeding was conducted today, i.e., 04th August 2025, at the Urban Health Training Centre, Saraswathinagar.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Departments of Community Medicine, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Around 50 lactating mothers participated and were sensitized about the importance of breastfeeding. They were also provided with a nutritious diet as part of the initiative.

CRRIs (Compulsory Rotatory Residential Interns) also actively participated in the program and contributed to its success.

Today, on 2nd August 2025, the 2005 batch of undergraduate alumni visited their beloved alma mater, Narayana Medical College. Out of the 100-member batch, 50 alumni returned to relive memories and witness the remarkable growth of the institution.

The heartfelt reunion began with a felicitation ceremony honoring the esteemed faculty who shaped their journeys. This was followed by a campus tour and a warm lunch gathering, rekindling bonds and celebrating the legacy they helped build.
