๐Ÿšฆ Road Safety Awareness Month ๐Ÿšฆ

As part of Road Safety Awareness Month, Narayana Medical College students actively participated in a Walkathon organized by the RTO Department, Nellore on 31st January at 6:30 a.m., from Sarvodaya College to VRC Grounds.

Nearly 250 NSS volunteers, under the guidance of Dean Dr. P. Srinivasulu Reddy and coordination of NSS Programme Officer Dr. D. M. Karthik, took part enthusiastically. A powerful โ€œGood Samaritanโ€ skit by our medicos was the highlight, earning special appreciation from the RTO Department.

Certificates were distributed at the concluding meet, recognizing the collegeโ€™s valuable contribution to road safety awareness.

๐Ÿšฆ Road Safety Awareness Program ๐Ÿšฆ

As part of the National Road Safety Month, a Road Safety Awareness Program was jointly organized by the Transport Department, Nellore and Narayana Medical College & Hospital, Nellore.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. P. Srinivasulu Reddy, Dean, NMCH, emphasized that life is more valuable than speed and urged everyone to strictly follow road safety rules. He highlighted that road accidents not only affect families but also cause irreversible loss to society, and stressed the importance of creating awareness among youth.

Mr. Bala Murali Krishna, Inspector of Motor Vehicles, Nellore, explained the significance of the Good Samaritan Law, the importance of timely emergency response through 108 services, and stated that providing help to accident victims within the golden hour can save lives without legal or hospital-related hassles.

Mr. Poorna Chandra Rao, Senior Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector, briefed the audience on traffic violations, penalties, and legal actions related to riding without helmets, not wearing seat belts, drunken driving, driving without a license, and allowing minors to drive.

The session included an informative PowerPoint presentation on road safety practices.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ 77th Republic Day Celebrations Held with Grandeur at Narayana Medical Institutions-Nellore-AP๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

The 77th Republic Day celebrations were conducted with great enthusiasm at the premises of Narayana Medical Institutions.

The event was graced by Dr. P. Srinivasulu Reddy, Dean, Narayana Medical College & Hospital, as the Chief Guest. Faculty members and students accorded him a warm welcome. After receiving the ceremonial guard of honour from the security personnel of the medical institutions, the Dean unfurled the National Flag, followed by the National Salute and the singing of the National Anthem.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. P. Srinivasulu Reddy emphasized the importance of responsibly exercising the rights granted by the Constitution and contributing to constitutional governance. He stated that remembering the great leaders who sacrificed their lives for the nation is the responsibility of every citizen. He encouraged students to move forward with patriotism and grow into responsible future citizens of India. He also conveyed his Republic Day greetings to all students and staff.

As part of the celebrations, patriotic songs and cultural dance performances were presented. Participants were honoured with mementos in appreciation of their performances. Special appreciation was extended to Dr. D. M. Karthik, NSS Programme Officer, and other members for their dedicated services in social and community activities.

The programme was attended by Mr. D. Rama Rao, Head โ€“ Operations, Dr. Viswakumar, Vice Principal, Dr. Prabhavathi, Medical Superintendent, Dr. R. Harish, Additional Medical Superintendent, Dr. Arun Kanth, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr. Ajay Reginald, Principal โ€“ Dental College, Dr. Vanajakumari, Principal โ€“ Nursing College, Dr. M. Srinivasulu, Principal โ€“ Pharmacy College, Dr. Vaheeda Begum, Principal โ€“ College of Allied Health Sciences, Mr. A. C. Sekhar Reddy, AGM, along with doctors, medical students, nursing and paramedical students, and non-teaching staff in large numbers.
