I had to move my whole community from the banks of Yamuna to far off Sea shore to save them from Jarasandh. I was called a coward for running away!!

If Duryodhana wins the war you will get a lot of credit. What do I get if Dharmaraja wins the war? Only the blame for the war and all related problems...

Remember one thing, Karna. Everybody has Challenges in life to face.

But what is Right (Dharma) is known to your Mind (conscience). No matter how much unfairness we got, how many times we were Disgraced, how many times we Fall, what is important is how you REACTED at that time.

Place of Broom as per Vastu

A broom is considered a sacred utility in Indian households. In rural India, it is the first thing that a lady of the house picks up at the break of the dawn, to clean the courtyard and the porch. Called by names like 'Jhadu', 'Bhuari' etc. it is regarded as feminine and often associated with the 'Goddess of wealth'. Brooms and mops should be kept in the west or north-west corner of the house.

Everyone uses brooms in their house to the house clean. Broom are used to dust away the waste and dirt. Though it is a common thing but it has an important role in the mythologies.

According to the belief, Goddess of money Mahalaxmi's one of the form is a broom. As per Vastu and old beliefs, due to the broom, happiness and prosperity in our houses increase.

Vastu Tips Related to Broom

If you want to buy a new broom buy it only on Saturday as it is considered very auspicious.

Never use a damaged broom in the house and one should store it in the west direction room to kill the negative energy.

The way we hide our money from everyone the same way we must hide the broom from everyone's eyes

Never touch the broom by your foot as this is inauspicious and as per the believes this is consider as disrespect of Goddess Mahalaxmi.

घर का मुख्य द्वार पूर्व में मध्य में न होकर उत्तर पूर्व की ओर या दक्षिण पूर्व की ओर होना चाहिए| घर का मुख्य दरवाजा दक्षिणमुखी नहीं होना चाहिए, अगर मजबूरी में दक्षिणमुखी दरवाजा बनाना पड़ गया हो, तो दरवाजे के सामने एक बड़ा सा आईना लगा दें|

घर में कैश व ज्वेलरी रखने के लिए तिजोरी या अलमारी को हमेशा कमरे के दक्षिण दिशा की दीवार से लगाकर रखें| जिससे अलमारी का मुंह उत्तर की ओर खुलेगा इस दिशा के स्वामी कुबेर हैं| तिजोरी का दरवाज़ा उत्तर दिशा की ओर खुलने से धन में बढ़ोतरी होती है|

वास्तु के अनुसार मास्टर बैडरूम को घर के दक्षिण पश्चिम या उत्तर पश्चिम की ओर बनाना चाहिए, क्योंकि बैडरूम में प्रवेश करते समय शांति और खुशहाली का आभास होना चाहिए|

वास्तु पुरुष क्या है ?

वास्तव में वास्तु पुरूष हर मकान का स्वयंभू संरक्षक होता है। उसे भवन का प्रमुख देवता माना जाता है। वेदों में बताया गया है कि स्वयं ब्रह्मा ने वास्तुपुरूष की रचना की और उसे आशीर्वाद दिया कि संसार में हर निर्माण के अवसर पर तुम्हारी पूजा अनिवार्य होगी अन्यथा वह निर्माण शुभ फलदायी नहीं होगा। यही वजह है कि हर मकान, हर निर्माण के आधार में वास्तु पुरूष का वास होता है। मकान की निरंतर सुरक्षा का भार इस वास्तु पुरूष पर ही होता है।

वास्तु पुरूष के बारे में ऐसी कथा प्रचलित है कि प्राचीन काल में एक बहुत ही विशालकाय जीव उत्पन्न हुआ था। वह जीव इतनी तेजी से बढ़ रहा था कि सारा ब्रहमाण्ड उसके दानव रूपी शरीर से ढ़कने लगा। इस समस्या से छुटकारा पाने के लिए सभी देवी-देवताओं ने मिलकर इसे रोकने का निर्णय लिया। उस विशालकाय जीव के चारों तरफ एक घेरा बनाया गया तथा उसे उल्टाकर जमीन में समाहित कर दिया। उस दानव रूपी विशालकाय जीव को ‘वास्तु पुरूष’ का नाम दिया गया।

वास्तु पुरूष का मुँह इशान कोण (उत्तर-पूर्व), दोनों पैरों के घुटनों को मोड़कर तथा दोनों तलवों को जोड़कर नैऋत्य कोण (दक्षिण-पश्चिम), हाथों की कोहनियाँ आग्नेय कोण (दक्षिण-पूर्व) और वायव्य कोण (उत्तर-पश्चिम) का निर्माण हुआ। उस दौरान देवी-देवताओं ने जो भी स्थान ग्रहण किया, उन स्थानों को उस देवी-देवताओं के अधीन मान लिया गया। भगवान ब्रहमा जी के वरदान के अनुसार ‘वास्तु पुरूष’ को ध्यान में रखकर बनाए गए घर या इमारत में ब्रहमाण्ड की दोनों शक्तियों जैसे सकारात्मक शक्ति और नकारात्मक शक्ति का संतुलन हमेशा के लिए बना रहता है। उस घर में निवास करने वाले लोगों को सुख, शांति, धन-दौलत, वैभव आदि प्राप्त होता है।

The Vastu Purush and Vastu Mandala, is the main base of Classical Vastu. It is mentioned in Matsya Puran, that one weird personality emerged from a drop of Lord Shiva’s sweat when he was fighting a war with Asuras. This weird person was cruel and when he was granted the boon of eating anything from the three worlds by Lord Shiva, he devoured everything on his way.

The Vastu Purusha Mandala is an indispensable part of Vastu Shastra and constitutes the mathematical and diagrammatic basis for generating design. It is the metaphysical plan of a building that incorporates the course of the heavenly bodies and supernatural forces. Purusha refers to energy, power, soul or cosmic man. Mandala is the generic name for any plan or chart which symbolically represents the cosmos.

The legend of the Vastu Purusha is related thus. Once a formless being blocked the heaven from the earth and Brahma with many other gods trapped him to the ground. This incident is depicted graphically in the Vastu Purusha Mandala with portions allocated hierarchically to each deity based on their contributions and positions. Brahma occupied the central portion - the Brahmasthana- and other gods were distributed around in a concentric pattern. There are 45 gods in all including 32 outer deities.

What is Vastu Shastra ?

Vastu shastra is a traditional Hindu system of architecture which literally translates to "science of architecture. “These are texts found on the Indian subcontinent that describe principles of design, layout, measurements, ground preparation, space arrangement, and spatial geometry. Vastu Shasta’s incorporate traditional Hindu and in some cases Buddhist beliefs.

Vastu Shastra is the textual part of Vastu Vidya. Vastu Vidya knowledge is a collection of ideas and concepts, with or without the support of layout diagrams that are not rigid. Rather, these ideas and concepts are models for the organization of space and form within a building or collection of buildings, based on their functions in relation to each other, their usage and to the overall fabric of the Vastu. Ancient Vastu Shastra principles include those for the design of Mandir (Hindu temples), and the principles for the design and layout of houses, towns, cities, gardens, roads, water works, shops and other public areas.

Vastu Shastra is known as the yoga of design and its guidelines come from the ancient Indian knowledge contained in the "Vastu Vidya." Buildings constructed using the principles of Vastu Shastra are said to provide a healthier living space and a better energy balance, making them ideal for practicing yoga in.

The idea behind Vastu Shastra is the integration of functional architectural designs with nature and spiritual beliefs. This principle has been used in Indian construction since ancient times and continues to be used in modern architecture.

Practicing yoga in the right sort of balanced and spiritual environment is crucial for connecting with our spiritual sides and entering into spells of deep, meaningful meditation. वास्तु शास्त्र का अर्थ :-
