Hi everyone,
I’m Rinku Sharma (2004–2011 batch), currently working as a Writer-Director in Mumbai.
My award-winning documentary “Hamari Ramleela” has been invited for international screenings:
📍 Seoul, South Korea | 16 April 2026
📍 Jakarta, Indonesia | 19 April 2026
This is a very special moment for me. The film tells a story rooted in our culture and community, and now it has the chance to reach audiences across countries.
Main apne sabhi seniors aur juniors ka bahut abhari hun jinhone mujhe navodaya ke dino mein drama, art culture ko samajhne mein meri help ki. Aapme se bahut se logon ne mujhe un dino stage par theater karte, speech dete, gaana gaate, morning prayer karwate dekha hoga. Ye sab mujhe navodaya ne diya jisne college ki theater society se Mumbai mein apni first film banane tak le aaya. Pehli feature length film banane ka struggle jo bhi raha usse ladna to navodaya ne hee sikha diya tha.
Ussi himmat se maine apni first film banayi joki Fipresci-India Grand Prix mein Best Indian Film ke Nominate hui. Uske baad first international award humein March, 2026 mein Nepal Janakpur mein mila. We won Best Documentary feature award for International Panorama.
Isi safar mein hamari film 2 aur International Events mein dikhayi jaa rahi hai. April 16 - Seoul, South korea and Apr 19 - Jakarta, Infonesia. Ye screenings embassy backed hain joki venue aur cultural exchange provide kar rahe hain magar travel support wo nahi kar paa rahe. Kyunki film hamare culture ki hai to uspar baat hona bhi zaroori hai. Jab log hamare culture ko meri film ke through janenge aur uspar mujhse aur hamari team se baat karenge to real cultural screening ka matlab nikal kar aaega. Film ke production aur ab tak chale festival coverage ke baad hamare pass itne funds nahi bache ki hum apni film ke sath wahan jaa paye. Maine government channel, NGO's sab try kiya but after 3 months of struggle, mujhe kahi se koi help nahin mili. Chunki screening ab najdeek aa chuki hain isliye crowdfunding ke alawa hamare pass koi option nahin bacha. Thats why I am back to my roots now. Main apne Navodaya ke seniors, batchmates and juniors se support maangta hu taki main apne culture ko world audience ke saamne present kar sake.
So with the support of my producer, we’ve started a crowdfunding campaign to make this journey possible.
If you can, I request you:
👉 Please take a moment to go through the campaign
👉 If it connects with you, you can contribute any amount you’re comfortable with
Even a small contribution can make a big difference and help represent our culture on an international stage.

you can edit the donation amount by your chice. If contributing isn’t possible, sharing this post would also mean a lot.
This is more than a film. It’s a cultural bridge.
From one Navodayan to another, your support truly matters 🙏
