WELCOME TO CRYO-GENIE
Cryo-Genie India Pvt. was set up in 1993 in New Delhi by a small group of researchers and medical doctors to provide physicians and their patients with safe and specialized services in the field of s***m processing and semen preservation. Cryo-Genie has since been constantly striving to meet the challenge of keeping pace with new technologies in the fast changing field of reproductive medecine and is committed to bringing these technologies to physicians and their patients at reasonable cost. SEMEN BANKING
With the increasing spread of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases (STD) in India and other countries, the importance of using properly tested and quarantined semen, for the treatment of infertility, has gained great importance. In most developed countries, the use of fresh untested semen for donor insemination has been discontinued to prevent the spread of these diseases through insemination procedures. Responding to this situation, Cryo-Genie has set up cryobanks to provide ready-to-use frozen semen samples for donor insemination. These samples are screened and quarantined to ensure safe donor insemination. Stringent criteria are used to select donors and semen samples are processed and preserved under optimized conditions. All the records of semen samples and donors are meticulously maintained under strict confidentiality. Cryobanks also provide facilities for autopreservation when, for medical or other reasons, patients may want to consider semen storage for future use. Furthermore, all cryobanks provide special andrological services in the field of reproductive medicine
S***M PROCESSING KITS FOR IUI
S***m Processing is the cornerstone for intra-uterine insemination and other assisted reproductive techniques. Cryo-Genie offers ready-to-use kits which enable gynecologists to process semen even in modest clinical set-ups without elaborate laboratory facilities. The kits are safe, efficient, economical and convenient to use. Each kit is designed for processing of one semen sample; therefore, there is no chance of cross contamination or change of pH. The shelf life of the kit is 12 months when stored at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. The kits are produced in ISO 9001:2000 certified, state-of-the-art facilities in compliance with cGMP standards specified by the WHO. DONOR INSEMINATION
Artificial insemination by donor semen (AID) has been used for years as a therapeutic treatment for male infertility when male factors such as azoos***mia, Rh incompatibility or genetic disorders are present. In the past, fresh semen was routinely used for AID. However, screening procedures to ensure that the donor was free of infectious organisms were not well defined. Organisms transmitted by donor semen can cause serious infections in women and may adversely affect the outcome of pregnancy. With the recent rapid spread of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, the use of fresh semen has been discouraged as screening of donors at the time of donation is not adequate to rule out the presence of infectious agents in the semen (e.g. in the case of HIV I and HIV II, ninety days or more may elapse before the onset of seropositivity). Since the protection of women and their offspring is the prime concern of all professionals providing AID service, screening of donors and donated semen should be an essential element of any AID program. All Cryo-Genie s***m banks use stringent screening criteria for their donors to ensure safety and quality of semen samples. Recent data has shown that the pregnancy rate using frozen semen compares well with the use of fresh semen if the sample contains an adequate number of motile s***m and if the sample is inseminated by the intrauterine route at the optimal time.
