Starting your day with tea or coffee can have several negative effects on your body:

1. Increases acidity levels in the stomach which can lead to heartburn and acid reflux.

2. Leads to gradual addiction .

3. Can harm the intestinal lining and disturb the natural gut flora and can cause digestive issues if taken on an empty stomach.

4. May give you a boost at the start as it is a stimulant and can increase the energy levels but leaves you feeling lethargic throughout the day.

5. Suppresses your appetite at the very start of the day.

6. Dehydrates the body. Caffeine being a diuretic causes more production of fluid which leads to more loss of water from the body.

7. Interferes with nutrient absorption if taken on an empty stomach.

8. May also fluctuate blood sugar levels.
