The clinical biochemistry or clinical chemistry is a branch of medical science that deals with biochemical analysis of human samples viz. blood samples, body fluids etc. Biochemistry department at Nanda Diagnostics is equipped with fully automated state of art equipments namely Randox Imola for routine biochemistry, BECKMAN COULTER ACCESS 2 & Minividas (Biomerieux) for immuno-assays, D10 (BIORAD for HPLC), proLYTE for electrolytes.
Department is managed by a full time qualified Biochemist who looks after routine and special biochemistry, beside taking care of all quality control procedures. Department regularly participate in the proficiency testing program like EQAS conducted by BIO-RAD,USA and internal quality control program (IQC) to maintain highest standard of work culture.
Available clinical biochemistry parameters in the department are as follows:
Diabetes Profile Tests: Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT), Glucose Challenge Test (GCT), Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT), Glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1c).
Liver Function Tests: Bilirubin (Total & Direct), Protein – Total (TP), Albumin, Globulin, Aspartate Transaminase (AST/SGOT), Alanine Transaminase (ALT/SGPT), Alkaline phosphatase (ALP), Gamma-glutamyl Transferase (GGT).
Kidney Function Tests: Urea, BUN, Uric Acid, Phosphorous, Calcium, Creatinine, Sodium, Potassium, Protein – Total, Albumin, Globulin.
Lipid Profile: Total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, VLDL cholesterol, Triglycerides.
Cardiac Enzymes: Creatinine phosphokinase (CPK), CK-MB, Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH).
Anemia Markers: Iron, TIBC, Transferrin and Ferritin.
Immunological Parameters: Immunoglobulins (IgA, IgM, IgE, IgG).
Pancreatic Function Tests: Amylase, Lipase.
Fluids: Urine, CSF, pleural, peritoneal, synovial aspirate, etc, for analysis of routine glucose, protein and albumin, LDH, etc.
