दीपावली का आध्यात्मिक अर्थ : एक दृष्टिकोण

अंधकार में जो है वह दिखता नहीं और प्रकाश जो होते हुए भी दिख नहीं रहा था उसे दिखाने लगता है । या कहें जो अव्यक्त था उसे व्यक्त कर देता है , या कहें जिसका हम को ज्ञान नहीं था उसका ज्ञान करा देता है ।
आप सभी को इस प्रकाश उत्सव की हार्दिक शुभ कामनायें ।

दीपावली त्योहार है अंधकार को दूर करने का । अंधकार है हमारा अज्ञान और अविद्या जो हमारे सुख - दुःख रूपी द्वैत के भावों का कारण है । दीपक से प्रकाश प्रकट होता है लेकिन वह स्वयं प्रकाशनहीं है । दीपक एक परिस्थिति विशेष में प्रकाश के प्रकट होने का निमित्त या साधन बनता है ।

दीपक भी चाहिये और उसमें तेल भी चाहिये और उसमें कपास की बत्ती भी चाहिये , वायु की उपस्थिति भी चाहिये और अग्नि तत्व भी चाहिये जो उस तेल में भीगी बाती या बत्ती को प्रज्वलित करे ।या कहें पंच महाभूतों का संयोग और उसमें से प्रकाश का प्रकट होना । यह प्रज्वलित , प्रकाशमय दीपक है ।

जब परिस्थिति विशेष के सब साधन उपलब्ध है तो प्रकाश व्यक्त होता है । दीपक केवल मिट्टी के पात्र के तौर पर कुछ नहीं है यदि तेल , बत्ती , वायु और अग्नि का साथ न मिले ।

यही तो देह और देही का संबंध है । देह तो एक पात्र मात्र है जिससे देही एक परिस्थिति विशेष में प्रकट होता है ।

दीपक की अनेकताओं में एकता देखना ही ज्ञान है । जो अनेक दीपक दिख रहे हैं , वे सब मिट्टी ही तो हैं , तेल भी एक ही तत्व है जो सब दीपकों को ईंधन प्रदान कर रहा है और बत्ती भी वही कपास है जो जल रही है और अग्नि तत्व भी एक ही है । प्रकाश जो एक दीपक से प्रकट हो रहा है वही तो दूसरे दीपक से भी प्रकट हो रहा है । सब कुछ एक ही है । देह अनेक दिखते हुए भी एक हैं , दीपक अनेक दिखते हुए भी एक हैं , सभी दीपकों से प्रकट होता प्रकाश एक ही है , सभी देहों से प्रकट होता देही भी एक ही है ।

दीपावली ज्ञान का पर्व है , दीपावली अपने अन्तःकरण के अज्ञान रूपी अंधकार को ज्ञान रूपी दीपक से प्रकाश को पहचानने का त्योहार है । दीपावली अनेकता में एक तत्व को देखने का त्योहार है ।
दीपावली अपनी इच्छाओं को माँ लक्ष्मी के चरणों में समर्पण का त्योहार है । दीपावली कुछ माँगने का नहीं बल्कि माँ लक्ष्मी को उनके अनुग्रह और कृपा के लिए कृतज्ञता दर्शाने का दिन है । दीपावली संसार के बंधनों से मुक्ति का दिवस है । दीपावली यह सुमिरन का दिन है की सब कुछ नारायण और उनकी पालन शक्ति लक्ष्मी का अनुग्रह है । दीपावली व्यक्त प्रकृति को देखते हुए उस अव्यक्त परमात्मा को देखने का त्योहार है जो प्रकृति का धारक है । उमा को देख , उस उमा पति को देखना है । लक्ष्मी को देख लक्ष्मी पति को देखना है और सरस्वती को देख ब्रह्मा जी को देखना है । प्रकृति के अनेक कार्य रूप में एक अधिष्ठान स्वरूप को देखना है ।

दीपावली गणों के अधिपति गणपति का धन्यवाद करने का अवसर है । गण यानी अनुभव होती अनेकता । गणपति यानी उन सबका एकमात्र आधार । गण यदि वृक्ष का तना , शाखायें, पत्ते , फूल और फल हैं तो गणपति वह बीज हैं जिनसे सब प्रकट होते हैं ।
माँ प्रकृति हैं जिनमें गणपति नामक बीज अंकुरित होता है और अनेकता लिया वृक्ष बन जाता है । माँ उस वृक्ष को सब कुछ प्रदान करती हैं , उसका पालन करती हैं । जड़ें वृक्ष का मुख है जिससे वह माँ प्रकृति के वक्ष स्थल से जीवन दायक रस का निरंतर पान करता है ।

जो प्रकट हो रहा है वह ही परमात्मा है । प्रकृति उस अव्यक्त परमात्मा की शक्ति है । शक्ति और शक्तिमान एक ही हैं ।
वह एक है वह नारायण है , वह शंभु है , वह राम है , वह कृष्ण है । प्रकाश स्वयं कभी नहीं दिखता , प्रकाशक स्वयं कभी नहीं दिखता , केवल प्रकाशित दिखता है । इसीलिए परमात्मा कृष्ण ( काला ) या श्याम हैं । जो दिख रहा है वही उसकी व्यक्त प्रकृति है , राधा है , जीवन की धारा है ।

राम की अयोध्या में वापसी यानी अज्ञान का अंत और ज्ञान का बोध है । अज्ञान अंधेरा है , अव्यक्त है और ज्ञान प्रकाश है , अव्यक्त की व्यक्त अनुभूति है । राम अधिष्ठान हैं , सीता प्रकृति है, रावण दस इंद्रियाँ वाला मन है । और दसरथ इन दस इंद्रियों का नियंता रथी है । जिसके रथ नियंत्रण में है वहाँ राम प्रकट होते हैं । जहां रथ अपने अश्वों यानी इंद्रियों के नियंत्रण में है वहाँ रावण प्रकट होता है । जब राम रावण के दस सिरों यानी मन के दस विकारों पर विजय प्राप्त करते हैं तो दशानन रूपी मन के आवरण का विच्छेदन होता है और प्रकृति और परमात्मा का भेद हृदय में समाप्त हो जाता है । अयोध्या फिर से अपने राम और सीता को पाकर प्रकाशित हो जाती है या कहें ज्ञान के प्रकाश में उनकी अनुभूति करती है ।
राम और सीता अभिन्न हैं , एक ही हैं , यही ज्ञान है , यही प्रकाश है । यही दीपावली का आध्यत्मिक अर्थ है ।

दीपावली की हार्दिक शुभ कामनायें । आपके हृदय में राम की अनुभूति व्यक्त हो और अंतःकरण का अंधकार उस प्रकाश में दूर हो । स्वयं की पहचान हो , अज्ञान दूर हो और अनेकता में एकता दिखने लगे और यह निष्ठा सदैव अटल और दृढ़ रहे ।

Dear friends after a gap of almost 4 years due to divine inspiration and guidance we are restarting our charitable services again.
Now from this Sunday 07/01/2024 we are restarting “ Ganga Devi Khandelwal Charitable OPD” which we were running since Year 2001 and till Dec 2019 .
Now this OPD will be totally free and as our “Sarthak Pahal “ ( सार्थक पहल ) we will be doing cataract surgery with latest Phacoemulsification technique for only Rs 15000 ( Almost 50% less than our usual charges ) to meet our expenses.

Dear friends, please don’t use eye medications without proper medical advice.
This patient came to me four days back . He was having redness in his eyes and he thought, it is conjunctivitis and went for help to a friendly kind chemist in his neighbourhood.
That person in his pursuit to help that friend gave him an antibiotic drop in combination with Dexamethasone ( a strong steroid) .

It is not unusual for us to use this combination to bring quick relief to a patient of viral or allergic conjunctivitis but we do it in a highly controlled fashion and after examining the condition of cornea and a quick ophthalmic and medical history . We keep a close watch on patients, to whom we prescribe antibiotics and steroids combination. These are our potent weapons but we use them after complete situation analysis and not otherwise. These medicines should and should always be prescribed by an ophthalmologist only, not even by a physician, who hasn’t looked at the case in totality due to lack of specialised equipments and expertise . So you can understand that a friendly advice to a friend can be disastrous.

Now, let me come back to the image, I have shared. This person has developed this corneal ulcer with infection due to a resistant strain of pseudomonas and unfortunately came out resistant to all the usual antibiotics available. I immediately referred him to cornea specialists for further management as the cornea was on verge of perforation or I can say he was on verge of permanently losing his eye sight . Reason? He presumed a diagnosis without consulting an ophthalmologist and then his friendly chemist also gave him a medicine, which should only be used by an expert .

Note : It is better to take no medication then taking a medicine about which you don’t know anything . Your eyes are precious, your life is precious, don’t use any thing or everything 🙏

I need your attention:

There has been lots of learning during past two and half years . There are lots of beautiful memories & experiences but there are also eye opening realisations.

There are issues, which need to be addressed and discussed openly in society.
Discussing them carries the risk of offending those who believe status quo is fine and needs no changes & improvements. Sometimes it is our feelings of entitlement and sometimes it is apathy , sometimes it is that false belief that only others will face it, why should I bother about it .

We are celebrating of our independence, there are lots of things which we need to talk & discuss about .

Cancer is now knocking at almost every door , we can’t continue to live in a fools paradise. We need to address issues , we need to change attitudes , we need to force our policy makers to come out of their pathological denial .

Dear friends, I will share my learning and let us all use this opportunity to make India a better place for cancer patients, cancer survivors and their families.

We don’t need a cancer patient in our own family to get this realisation, a shared wisdom can also help in learning process provided we consider it as important, our responsibility and are ready to come out of denial.

I will share my experiences . Objective is not to offend people & organisations rather objective is to introspect, learn & improve.
