Indian Head Injury Foundation Preventing Head & Spine Injuries, Improving Pre-Hospital Care and Providing Rehabilitation

The Indian Head Injury Foundation (IHIF) was founded by His Highness Maharaja Gajsingh II of Jodhpur in February 2007, with a mission to build a comprehensive system in India for the prevention of head and spine injuries and and to provide neuro-rehabilitation to such patients and victims. Four types of Educational activities are presently conducted by IHIF:
• Primary trauma Care Courses (PTC)
• Awareness on Road Safety
• Neuro Critical Care and Home Rehab Workshops
• Neuro rehabilitation Workshops

Currently we run three high quality neuro rehabilitation centres (Jodhpur, Patna & Delhi) which provide excellent post trauma care to the needy and weaker sections of the society.

IHIF Patna Centre at the Ortho-Physio Conclave

We are proud to share that Dr. Vivek Kumar Sinha, Head of IHIF Patna Centre supported by ICICI Lombard, presented on Shoulder Injuries and moderated a panel discussion on Knee Ligament Injuries at the Ortho-Physio Conclave organized by CISRO Hospital & Bihar Orthopedic Association.

Additionally, Dr. Ravi Prakash, Physiotherapist at IHIF Patna Centre, addressed fellow professionals on “Evidence-Based Practice and Guidelines for Knee Surgery Rehabilitation – ROM, Weight Bearing & Bracing.”

Their participation reflects IHIF’s commitment to sharing knowledge, advancing rehabilitation practices, and improving patient care across the region.

A joyful Rakhi Making Competition was held today, celebrating the creativity and talent of our special students. With the loving support of their parents, the children crafted beautiful rakhis, each one reflecting their imagination and hard work.

The celebration continued with a rakhi tying ceremony, followed by refreshments and a lively dance session that had everyone smiling and grooving!

Celebrated Friendship's Day followed by a heartwarming group therapy session designed to foster emotional well-being and social connection.

Children participated in fun and therapeutic activities like friendship band making, group dance, and hand-pasting—all aimed at encouraging peer bonding, teamwork, and building confidence in social interaction.

Our neurological patients also took part in an engaging team-based game that promoted mutual trust, open communication, and a stronger sense of belonging in the rehab environment.

This beautiful session reminded us that friendship is more than just a bond - it's a powerful part of healing and rehabilitation, where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.
