☆ drink green tea or luke warm water or jaggery decoction before sleep to clean the internal system of pollution.

☆ do warm saline water gargles to wash off the accumulated pollution and infection causing microbes in throat.

☆ consume Tulsi, ginger, fresh haldi, cinnamon and honey to boast immune system. Will prevent unseen respiratory infections.

☆ fresh fruit juice esp. Pineapple juice for booster dose of antioxidant and minerals to detox the system and do required self cellular healing.

☆ plant more trees, use air purifier, camphor oil lamp, humidifier for better indoor environment.

☆ Be happy, self contended, take charge of your physical- mental- emotional- spiritual health ☆ SMILE ALWAYS ☺

☆ Use air purifiers in bed room during sleeping hours...

☆ Don’t light crackers or burn the trash generated the day after for surviving air and noise pollution without wrecking your lungs or ears.

☆ The simplest thing to do is leave town and head for the cleaner air of the hills or the coast.

☆ Check daily air pollution levels in your neighbourhood before stepping out.

☆ Don’t exercise (walk, cycle or run) or play outdoors when pollution levels are high, which is usually in the morning. Limit the time your child spends playing outdoors during hours when the air quality is poor and for at least three days around *(before and after)* Diwali, which is roughly the time the bad air takes to dissipate.

☆ Drive with your windows rolled up or cover your mouth and nostrils with a facemask or a cloth while cycling or riding two wheelers.

☆ Copper, cadmium, sulphur, aluminium and barium, among others, are added to crackers to produce the vibrant colours and sparkle, and the particulate matter and gases such as nitrogen oxides and sulphur dioxide that hang low in the atmosphere for hours, stinging our eyes and choking lungs.

☆ Use ear plugs! 🦻 Firecrackers produce between 90dB to 130dB of sound, depending on their potency. The sound range is between the noise produced by a subway train (90dB) and jet plane (140 dB). Sound at 85 dB or below is safe. Sounds above 140 dB cause some permanent damage almost immediately.
