LASERS_Treatments which can be carried out in a simple , painless , bloodless and sutureless(stitchless) manner with negligible post-op complications Lasers have been used for many years in oral surgery and implant dentistry. In some indications, laser treatment has become state of the art as compared to conventional techniques. The most common surgical lasers emit wavelengths in the infrared part of the spectrum: the neodymium:yttrium–aluminium–garnet laser (Nd–YAG, ??=?1,064 nm), the erbium–yttrium–aluminum–garnet laser (Er–YAG, 2.94 µm), and the CO2 laser (10.6 and 9.6 µm). Within the visible portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, argon lasers emit a light between 458 and 515 nm, and excimer lasers are located in the ultraviolet part of the spectrum (100 to 400 nm). In surgical indications, within the last years, the latter seem to be of increasing interest. Some of the many treatments which can be carried out in a simple , painless , bloodless and sutureless(stitchless) manner with negligible post-op complications are :
o Gingival Melanin Pigmentation (Gum Whitening) - Treatment of Dark Gums
o Pericoronitis (Operculectomy) - Painless Removal of skin/tissue over the third molar
o Gingival and Pulp Polyp
o Gingival Hyperplasia - Treatment of gum overgrowth
o Fibroma
o Apthous Ulcer - Immediate pain relief from oral ulcers
o Pyogenic Granuloma
o Frenectomy
o Crown Lengthening - Correcting gummy smile
o Mucocele
o Papilloma
o Insional And Excisional Biopsy
o Precancerous Lesions - OSMF , Leukoplakia
o Vascular Lesions - Hemangioma or Venous Lake
o Bleaching - Teeth Whitening (Less Chair time and Better Results)
o Root Canal Sterilization
o Perio Pocket Sterilization
o Dentinal Hypersenstivity - Senstivity to hot and cold

I, Dr. Salil Raina Offer DENTAL LASER services , having completed my Dental Laser Course(From ESOLA) And have undergone training for these above mentioned procedures. One of the most promising aspects of laser dentistry is the opportunity to do more with less anesthetic, and less damage to the tissue. So,why not have such an advanced technology in your clinic , which patients will love to be treated with, instead of the blade they fear so much and the blood and stitches after it! Warm Regards
