Why we all are burnt out 🧠🔥

Till 3-4 years back we all used to have friends on social media & some people we didn’t know in real life but followed them, that was all “social media” circle.

We decided who we want to to catch up on / discuss ideas with / talk to.

But now with the “for you” page & reels tab , the algorithm decides what will keep us on social media more. This machine knows us more than us.

Result : we are constantly hooked in a cycle of mindless glaring at the screen without properly registering any information.

The ugly consequence of this are many:

☢️ our dopamine reward systems are fire up hence meaningful things in life feel boring now

☢️ our emotions HENCE HORMONES fluctuate EVERY 30 seconds with every reel you scroll (that’s the stepling stone for insomnia & all other hormonal imbalances)

☢️ Our focus has gone for a toss because our brain is slowly getting programmed to have a new thing every 30-60 seconds.

Brain rot is real!

What can we do to fix it :

✅ Do the boring stuff… Be intentional when while reading something/ watching a long video of your interest / Having a conversation your mind starts wandering, get jt back!

✅ Spend time on your home page rather than explore page because home page is decided by you want to see, explore page is designed to keep you on the platform for long time

✅ Revisit the hobbies you used to have pre pandemic
Remember the time when we used to write , read, call friends rather than starting scrolling immediately when you find 5 minutes.

Let’s get our attention back!

23rd March 2024 I found answer to:
Why does my energy drop after having breakfast

Why is it getting so hard to get out of the bed even at 9 am when I have been a 6 am bird all my life

Why I am not feeling my usual enthusiasm

Why is my period hurting like a bitch!

When in my annual blood work I found out that my thyroid gland was tired & my brain had to make more Thyroid Stimulating hormone (TSH).

Although it didn’t shock me much, I had been mincing my words, trying to be a good girl, controlling my imagination, ignoring my emotional needs, working out as a punishment to myself in the pursuit of balancing my 2 major new roles of life, a business owner & new bride.

My cortisol levels also came out low, surely my nervous system had been trying to tell me how dis regulated it was with all those late mornings & cravings but i had been ignoring it.

That blood check up became a shake i needed to come back to myself.
As an immediate effect here are a few changes i did:

💕 Apologized to myself & started clearing all the unnecessary things i had been doing physically, emotionally, personally & professionally. (Right from the kind of people I was onboarding as clients & kind of conversations i was indulging in my personal life to the kind of people i was following on social media), curated the algorithm of my life to ensure that only inspiring & energizing things reach me.
Anything that didn’t serve me, made my consciousness contract doesn’t deserve my energy (yes sometimes physically removing these elements is not possible, but can be blocked mentally)

💕Started filling my plate with protein & fiber , stopped dairy & gluten for a while to let my digestion ease out (eating both again now)

💕 Started aligning my life (especially my workouts) as per my period cycle

💕 Made sure to get a lymphatic drainage massage in my luteal phase.

💕 Supplemented on minerals

Within 3 months my energy got back on track, I started becoming more unapologetic like I always was & my enthusiasm got back.
What you see in the image is just a byproduct of all the changes that happened inside.
