☔️💦Just the onset of monsoon brings
along cold cough and stomach which is a concern for most parents.
The weather change is not in our control, while going to school, or during playtime kids tend to get wet in the rain too

📌So focus on what we can control - that’s our child’s immunity
Build your child’s immunity by making some small changes to their diet!

☔️ Monsoon foods have had rules around them since olden times.

☔️I remember my dadi telling me not to eat out, not to eat heavy food, to avoid leafy vegetables in heavy rains and so on.

☔️ Now that I am a mom, I know why and where it comes from.

☔️ During monsoon, metabolism slows down and there is an increase in germs everywhere. This all together leads to common illnesses like stomach bugs and flu, cold, cough and many more!

☔️ However, tweaking our food habits, including and excluding certain foods in our meals can work wonders in building our immunity!

☔️ Here are some foods to include during monsoon and some general tips and tricks to build immunity in this season!

☔️Save this post and share it with a friend who needs it.

HOW TO START 👇🏻

Think of your stress resilience like a bucket of water. If your bucket is full, any little stressor (mental or physical) is going to push the water over the edge.

You don’t want an overflowing bucket.

When you’re body is in chronic state of stress (aka have an overflowing bucket)
🔺digestion is compromised
🔺 muscles contract
🔺you become tense
🔺 lymph becomes stagnate
🔺 bloating
🔺 indigestion
🔺constipation / diarrhea
🔺 inflammation
🔺 impaired nutrient absorption and enzyme secretion
🔺 Your body stops prioritizing s*x hormone production
🔺 Symptoms like PMS, missing periods, mood swings, fatigue, anxiety, and ache show up

The first step in reducing your stress load is focusing on the FOUNDATIONS
🔹blood sugar
🔸 nourishment
🔹 stress resilience
🔸 quality sleep
🔹 movement
🔸 gut health
🔹 detoxification

It’s not about doing a complete overhaul. You want your body to feel safe. You want to create room in your hypothetical bucket.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and need more support - COMMENT “FOUNDATIONS” and I’ll send you the link to my hormones healing handbook with 40+ recipes that supports hormone balance and blood sugar while a blueprint to how to get foundational habits to support your stress resilience.

A great way to refuel their energy is to offer them healthy, nutrition packed drinks so here’s a list of 10 healthy summer drinks along with some tips on how to prepare them quickly:

HANDY TIPS for preparing the drinks:

🥭Aam panna is best stored at room temperature, and not in the refrigerator. You can also keep the pulp ready in fridge and mix the spices when needed to store longer.

🍷You can prepare the kokum paste and freeze it to store for days and use as needed

🥥After you enjoy the coconut water you can ask for the malai (flesh) its healthy carbs and tastes yum

🟡When drinking ganna juice from local market, please carry your own glass from home so you don’t use plastic cups. Make sure they empty out the jug and clean it and serve you only fresh juice.

💁🏻‍♀️Jaggery is a yummy substitute for sugar for lemonade etc if your child likes everything to be sweet!
