ERCP is an advanced endoscopic procedure to treat obstructive type of jaundice. In this case, the bile duct ( tube connecting the liver and gall bladder to small intestine) was blocked and patient had deep jaundice. ERCP was done and a metal stent was placed to widen the bile duct.

ERCP stands for Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreaticography.
It is an endoscopic procedure to remove stones that are stuck in the tube coming out of liver [Bile duct] and causing jaundice.
It is a nonsurgical procedure without any stitches / sutures.
