Control is futile. It is futile always. The longer "it" is controlled, the painfully "it" persists.
Savita (name changed) a 62 year old woman had been living alone in her two storied house since the past 4 years. before that, her son with his wife and child used to live together. but then, some interpersonal issues started developing gradually, and her son with his family had to shift abroad for work purposes.
Savita's husband had left for heavenly abode 14 years back. since then, a couple of relatives used to visit her to provide with their company. But often, Savita would deliberately resist all of them. Moreover, she was not willing to shift with her son or daughter and persistently desired to live in the house constructed by her late husband. So, it seemed to be a case of self imposed loneliness.
While communicating with her for the session, she exclaimed that loneliness makes her fearful sometimes, and she would need a session for the same. But digging it deeper, it came to a realization that she wanted to stay lonely only because of her need to control her situations. As when she would be alone, she would live at her own terms as she had wanted. Her need to control was greater than her need to be with someone else. The fear of losing control was creating situations in her reality so as she would remain lonely.
We did 2 sessions for her need to control set as the theme. In the 1st session, her sub-personality which she identified with was of a Princess of a kingdom in Rajasthan wherein she had glimpses of herself in a royal attire with a batch of soldiers accompanying her every time from her childhood to her adult age. In her last scene , she view's herself going towards a temple with the soldiers accompanying her. All of a sudden she moves ahead hurriedly all by herself so that the soldiers are left behind. The intention behind the act was to move ahead as she wanted (to have control over her situation). But as she moves ahead, a shepherd confronts to harm her. While escaping from his wrong intentions, she jumps off the cliff and dies on the spot. In the disembodied state, she receives the learning of being with the others in her journey, while she is reminded of her need to control. After proper cognitive restructuring and reframing through her own unconscious mind, the session meets its closure.
In the 2nd session executed the next day, She experienced herself as a girl living in the mountains. She progressed from a child to an adult, all being alone throughout. Her social structure never revealed anyone else. She had made herself aloof and used to live and meditate in a cave within the mountainous range which she denoted to be near Gomukh. She was a devotee of Lord Shiva at that time and had glimpse of a very old temple made of mud in the ranges. In her last scene, she depicted having slipped and fallen from the mountain and died on the spot. The villagers then immersed her body in the flowing river.
When she was asked to seek her learning from her higher consciousness, she viewed Lord Shiva pointing towards a village which was visible from the top of the mountain where she lived. She understood the learning of being with people instead of living alone. As being with other was the only way of achieving peace and mukti instead of meditating alone. That time also, she was controlling her situation by being away from others. Once she received this learning, followed by proper cognitive restructuring and reframing, the session was closed.
With these learnings from her own subconscious, she was asked to surrender the results whatever she was expecting from the sessions.
Within 2 weeks, all of a sudden, one of her closed relatives whom she was very fond of, got ready by himself to shift with her along with his family. They moved with her within the next 2 weeks. No one had expected that her issue of loneliness would be resolved in such a short span of time. This could happen only when she was able to experience , and allowed the learnings from her own higher self, from her own deeper mind.
Her control was giving her pain. And letting go of her control, by resolving the deep issues which were making her to control, made her pain resolve completely. This is the power of the unconscious, or the superconscious or the higher consciousness, which we all are a part of, well united with each other, being one and nothing else.
Resolution of our conflicts only leads us to experience this oneness , which we are in each moment, whether we are aware of it or not!
