I intend to share an empowerment relationship with you where you can make the right health and lifestyle choices yourself, rather than getting confused looking at the stores full of ‘healthy’ confusing stuff on their shelves. ☀️✨Did anyone tell me this? NO!
☀️✨ So let me be open about my personal story! Since childhood my nature has been of a dreamer and a highly active pitta dominated, with Type A personality traits. This means my mind has always been in a thinking & creation mode. My drive & energy for life does not come as much from food, as much as it comes from thinking of something new, creative & challenging, and working hard to make it come true.
☀️✨ In my entire life there has been so much use & abuse of my nervous system (dealing with negative thoughts too as when you are creative & overthink, all kinds of thoughts try to pass through, you need to filter what to entertain basis your wisdom). Until my mid 30s, I was dealing a lot with up & down of thoughts which had a deep impact on how I was perceiving life, the idea of realising my dreams and sticking to perfection.
☀️✨ As I got into peri-menopause, your body again changes gears, which we do not realise. This is the time body tells you, do not over use me, let me do things at my own pace with deep thought & focus put into each thought. This is also related to how in peri-menopause, estrogen & progesterone are declining rapidly having an impact on moods too.
☀️✨ At this point I realised, the traits of Type A personality in this stage of life will hit me back as if I think & drag myself too much, my nervous system will get into a state of burnout, impacting my hormones negatively further.
☀️✨ But I still want to put in my best into work and keep following my dreams, but the changed gears of my body keeps telling me the limits. So then you need to take a different approach to realise your dreams now!
☀️✨ Learning to enhance the capacity and capability of the nervous system and aiding mind to think rational & clear is the way to go. This is possible with breathing & meditative practices that help calm the nervous system, come to a state of one-pointed state of mind and when that vessel of mind gets empty, your wisdom directs with clarity, where to put focus on.
☀️✨ Such a deep rooted art Yoga & Ayurveda have blessed us with!
