Rheumatoid Arthritis - Symptoms and Prevalence
Dear All,
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disorder that affects people of all ages, genders, and ethnicities worldwide. It primarily affects the joints, causing pain, stiffness, and swelling, but it can also affect other organs in severe cases.
Apart from joint pain and stiffness, other common symptoms of RA include fatigue, loss of appetite, fever, and rheumatoid nodules. Some people may also experience eye inflammation, lung or heart problems, and anemia.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), RA affects an estimated 1% of the global population, making it one of the most common autoimmune disorders worldwide. Women are more likely to develop RA than men, and the risk increases with age.
If you are experiencing any of the symptoms mentioned above, it is essential to seek medical attention promptly. Early diagnosis and treatment can help manage the symptoms of RA and prevent further damage to the joints and other organs.
Don't ignore the symptoms or delay seeking medical help. It can be dangerous and lead to severe complications.
Sincerely,
