In advanced lung disease, particularly COPD, the lungs become hyper inflated, extra air is trapped in the lungs, the diaphragm becomes flattened and cannot work efficiently. Forward lean positions can help encourage the diaphragm into a more domed position so that it can work more easily.

You can use these positions in case of panic / anxiety attack or any condition which causes you difficulty in breathing.

6-6-6 Rule

1. Short warm-up

- Increases blood flow, raises body temperature
-Primes the cardiovascular system for a more effective and enjoyable walk

2. Start walking at 6 AM

-Researchers at The Heart Foundation found that walking for an average of 30 minutes a day can lower your heart disease risk by 35%.
- Fuel the metabolism, breathe in fresh air, and create a good tone for the day.

3. Wind down at 6 PM for evening benefits

-Helps in calming the mind and getting rid of the stress built up in one's system after a busy day
- Eases the body into sleep, having had an active day.

4. Cool down

- Allows heart to return to normal
- Decrease muscular stiffness
- Enhance recovery
