If you are drinking RO water then it is not safe!
Here’s Why You Should Avoid Drinking Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water!
What Is Reverse Osmosis?
“Reverse osmosis water” is a fancy scientific term used by many these days. You produce it through reverse osmosis (RO), obviously. It is a process of purifying water, but most people don’t know what an RO system is.
It is an issue for one crucial reason.
Without understanding how the reverse osmosis filtration works, it is difficult to see the disadvantages of the system. Reverse osmosis water is not safe for human consumption.
It is also not good for the environment.
What is reverse osmosis? RO is a method of removing contaminants from the source water by applying pressure. The machine lets the water flow through a series of artificial, semi-permeable membranes to further remove impurities.
Many homes and businesses use it for many different water purification purposes.
At home, RO systems should help “improve” tap water. Some industrial-scale water purification plants also use them.
Unfortunately, reverse osmosis is not as effective as a water treatment solution. It can create massive problems.

Three Reasons to Avoid Drinking Reverse Osmosis Water

Just like distilled water, We discourages drinking reverse osmosis water. Here are the reasons:

1) Reverse Osmosis Water Does Not Have Minerals
Part of the definition of reverse osmosis water is it is “purified water.” It means all the sediment, heavy metals, hard minerals, nutrients, viruses, and bacteria (both the good and bad) are no longer present.
Recent worldwide studies focused on the health risks of drinking dematerialized water discovered:
Drinking water should contain minimum levels of certain essential minerals . . . . Sufficient evidence is now available to confirm the health consequences from drinking water deficient in calcium or magnesium.
– Frantisek Kozisek, National Institute of Public Health, Czech Republic
In contrast, Alkaline ionized water quality maintains high levels of antioxidants. It also contains essential nutrients like magnesium, which is essential to human life.

2) It Doesn’t Hydrate as well as Alkaline Ionized Water

Alkaline water can hydrate the body more efficiently than tap water.
Meanwhile, all indications cite how reverse osmosis water is less hydrating than even untreated water. This is because RO water has zero electrolytes.
When the machines filter the water, they also remove them.
Zero Electrolytes and No Antioxidants = Less Hydrating Water
Of course, alkaline ionized water is rich in antioxidants and electrolytes. These help hydrate the body and neutralize harmful free radicals.
Electrolytes Definition: A combination of dissolved salts, magnesium, potassium, and calcium. All together, they regulate the flow of water of the cells. They are also essential in maintaining nerve impulses.

3) RO Ph is less than 7 which means it is acidic in nature.

Normal drinking water generally has a neutral pH of 7. The RO water has a pH less than 7 which is acidic in nature. Alkaline water typically has a pH of 8 or 9.
The pH scale is logarithmic and as a result, each whole pH value below 7 is ten times more acidic than the next higher value. For example, pH 4 is ten times more acidic than pH 5 and 100 times (10 times 10) more acidic than pH 6. The same holds true for pH values above 7, each of which is ten times more alkaline (another way to say basic) than the next lower whole value. For example, pH 10 is ten times more alkaline than pH 9 and 100 times (10 times 10)more alkaline than pH 8

However, pH alone isn’t enough to impart substantial alkalinity to water.
Alkaline water must also contain alkaline minerals and negative oxidation reduction potential (ORP).
ORP is the ability of water to act as a pro- or antioxidant. The more negative the ORP value, the more antioxidizing it is.

What is alkaline water?
You may have heard various health claims about alkaline water. Some say it can help slow the aging process, regulate your body’s pH level, and prevent chronic diseases like cancer. But what exactly is alkaline water, and why all the hype?
The “alkaline” in alkaline water refers to its pH level. The pH level is a number that measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is on a scale of 0 to 14. For example, something with a pH of 1 would be very acidic and something with a pH of 13 would be very alkaline.
Alkaline water has a higher pH level than regular drinking water. Because of this, some advocates of alkaline water believe it can neutralize the acid in your body.

Alkaline Ionized Water is a Powerful Antioxidant

Alkaline ionized water is a plentiful source of antioxidants which help to neutralize free radicals. But what exactly are free radicals and antioxidants? In short, free radicals cause oxidation in our body and antioxidants prevent oxidation.

What exactly is oxidation? Think of what happens to a slice of apple left out on the counter for a few hours: it turns brown due to exposure to unstable oxygen molecules in the air. Inside our bodies, our cells are also continuously subjected to oxidation due to the presence of oxygen free radicals, which are unstable molecules desperately seeking electrons for stability. Free radicals have been scientifically proven to cause cellular and DNA damage that contribute to aging and can lead to the onset of various diseases.

What are free radicals? Free radicals are unstable molecules desperately seeking electrons for stability. They are known to cause cellular and DNA damage in our body, which in turn contribute to aging and the onset of various diseases. Antioxidants help to slow down this process by donating an electron to an oxygen free radical (the most common type of free radical in our body) so it becomes a stable oxygen molecule.

Where does one find antioxidants?
Alkaline ionized water is a rich source of antioxidants which can easily be absorbed into the body due to the small size of the water clusters and the fact that the water does not need to be metabolized. It is also a very easy way to provide our bodies with plentiful amounts of antioxidants each and every day.
Many foods are also high in antioxidant value and should be a part of any health pH balanced diet:
Fruits, such as apples,grapes,grapefruit,cranberries,blackberries,and blueberries
Vegetables, such as spinach, kale, collard greens, carrots, tomatoes and garlic
Legumes, such as red beans, pinto beans, and kidney beans
Teas, such as green tea, black tea, herbal tea,
Spices, such as cloves, cinnamon, oregano, and turmeric.

Antioxidants are essential for proper function of the immune system. This is partly because immune cells produce free radicals for normal defense functions. If the level of free radicals in the immune cells surpasses the normal level, they negatively affect the immune system. On the other hand, antioxidants act as scavengers of the free radicals in cells and therefore promote our immunity and overall health.

The World Health Organization issues RO (reverse osmosis) water warning!!!

Just about everyone knows that Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems excel at removing water impurities, but few are aware that they also remove the beneficial minerals. In fact, the reverse osmosis process removes 92-99% of beneficial calcium and magnesium. What's the big deal?
After analyzing hundreds of scientific studies concerning dematerialized or reverse osmosis water, the World Health Organization released a report stating that such water "has a definite adverse influence on the animal and human organism."
Consumers have been so concerned with removing as many things from water as possible that they have forgotten to ask if the resulting water actually improves health or causes health problems. It's assumed that no toxins equals better health, but there is simply more to healthful water than a lack of toxins, as the World Health Organization clearly points out.
Serious side effects, even after just a few months
What is alarming is that consuming reverse osmosis water for even just a few months can create serious side effects. "The effects of most chemicals commonly found in drinking water manifest themselves after long exposure." However "only a few months exposure may be sufficient 'consumption time effects' from water that is low in magnesium and/or calcium.
Illustrative of such short-term exposures are cases in the Czech and Slovak populations who began using reverse osmosis-based systems for final treatment of drinking water at their home taps in 2000-2002. Within several weeks or months various health complaints suggestive of acute magnesium (and possibly calcium) deficiency were reported. Among these complaints were cardiovascular disorders, tiredness, weakness or muscular cramps." Again, serious side effects within just several weeks or months.
It gets worse
Because reverse osmosis water doesn't have enough minerals, when it is consumed, it also leaches minerals from the body. This means that the minerals being consumed in food and vitamins are being urinated away. Less minerals consumed plus more minerals being excreted equals serious negative side effects and big health problems. In a scientific study performed to see if minerals consumed in food can make up for the lack of minerals in reverse osmosis water, scientists concluded that "reduced mineral intake from water was not compensated by their diets...low-mineral water was responsible for an increased elimination of minerals from the body."
"It has been adequately demonstrated that consuming water of low mineral content has a negative effect on homeostasis mechanisms, compromising the mineral and water metabolism in the body." Consumption of reverse osmosis water "leads to the dilution of the electrolytes dissolved in the body water. Inadequate body water redistribution between compartments may compromise the function of vital organs. Side effects at the very beginning of this condition include tiredness, weakness and headache; more severe symptoms are muscular cramps and impaired heart rate."
