*Allergy*
is hyperreactivity of body to certain things in environment that one inhales, ingests or touches.Most common is ASTHMA(respiratory tract involvement).

Prevention is anytime better by either removing allergens( if one knows them by tests or experience) or changing place of stay.One should also take annual FLU shot, do pranayam and take home remedies like Haldi, ginger, black pepper and Tulasi etc for prevention.

Treatment-
Mostly by blocking chemicals released by body that are responsible for the damage to self (Ex- Antihistamines, Antileukotrienes and steroids).

MISTAKE that most people make is, they take it even for infections( cough with fever) and these molecules have a risk of increasing infections.
Antihistamines like levocetirizine, fexofanadine, Bilastine can cause thickening of sputum so should not be used for more than a day or two in respiratory infection.

Combination of montelukast and levocetirizine is rampantly used by people in Viral URTI which should not be used(better avoided) rather used separately for patients with known allergy and when fever is down (means virus has left the body)

Imunotherapy(when gradually increasing dose of allergens are given starting from low) is a modality for very severe and disabling allergy patients and it could be curative too. It is done only on specialised centers.

We have two versions of Human Papilloma Virus( HPV) vaccine available.
HPV 9 is also recommended for males 9-15 years(apart from females 9-45 years) to prevent ge***al warts, anorectal cancers and spread from male to female.
HPV 4 efficacy for cervical cancer is almost 80 % while HPV 9 has around 98%.

Better to get something than nothing.
Cervical cancer is almost 30% of all types of cancer burden in females(Breast cancer is another 30-35%).
