Our Story

Built on trust, hard work and an undying team spirit, the Wave Group has emerged as one of India’s leading business conglomerates. Founded by Late Mr. Kulwant Singh Chadha in 1963, it has been making waves across the industries it serves.

What began with a vision to conquer new heights, has now catapulted itself into a corporate giant that boasts of an impressive business portfolio. It encompasses sugar manufacturing, distilleries and breweries, real estate, malls & multiplexes, beverages, sports, education and entertainment.

Our Business Portfolio

1. Manufacturing

a. Sugar One of the largest manufacturers of sugar in North India, the Wave Group has 6 sugar mills in Uttar Pradesh, and 1 in Punjab, generating combined cane crushing capacity of 29,000 TCD.

b. Steel The steel business of Wave industries has been a major contributor to India’s manufacturing growth. Wave’s steel plant includes melting, rolling and ready-made steel manufacturing and commercial production, contributing significantly to India’s manufacturing output.

c. Paper Wave owns one of the largest paper manufacturing plants in Uttar Pradesh that produces writing, printing, copiers and newsprint paper.

d. Distilleries Wave distilleries in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh produce a combined capacity of 150 KL per day. Our plants adopt eco-friendly practices, and are equipped with modern technology that is designed to maintain zero effluent discharge.

e. Beverages and Bottling Apart from brewing and bottling our own beer brand, Wave Premium Beer, the Wave Group also bottles for world renowned brands such as Kingfisher and Coke.

f. Green Power The Wave Group has established power co generation facilities at its sugar units in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. The cogeneration plants generate Green Power using ‘bagasse’, substituting power generated by conventional fossil fuels.

2. Real Estate Wave Infratech is the real estate arm of the Wave Group that stands tall on the merit of its world class projects that include Wave Malls, Wave Cinemas, and Wave residential and retail spaces.

3. Education With an aim to provide quality education at par with global standards and still rooted in our culture, the Wave Group began Genesis Global School in Noida. It is a premier day-cum- residential school that offers an international platform to its students which perfectly blends technology, modern pedagogy, culture and innovation.

4. Sports As part of the Group’s commitment towards promoting the national sport (Hockey), it acquired the Delhi franchise of the Hockey India League – DELHI WAVERIDERS. With this step, we endeavour to bring the game back to its past glory, packed with exhilarating moments in sport.

5. Entertainment Wave Group film production and distribution business began operations in 1999. Till date, it has produced and distributed over 150 Bollywood movies including Ready, Devdas, Gadar, Kahani and OH MY GOD. Apart from India, the distribution network of Wave covers Bhutan, Nepal, UK, USA, and several other Asian and Gulf countries.

6. Corporate Social Responsibility Under the guidance of our former Chairman, Lt. Mr. Gurdeep Singh Chadha, popularly known as Ponty Chadha, we are also actively engaged in various social responsibility initiatives that help us give back to the society and strive towards a better future for all.
