At Arpan we constantly try our best to include, in present day education, small yet significant components of learning that are child-centered and stresses upon each child's all-round development. We believe that education should not only be a means for better monetary gains but also give room for holistic development of an individual. It is these values that we want to internalise in our education system through intricately designed, field and activity based learning modules for children. We had a humble beginning in 2006, starting from raising scholarship funds for deserving children. Then in 2010 we expanded our scope of work providing remedial classes and financial assistance to 14 girls from a slum community in South-Delhi. We managed to send all girls to college and also raise money for some additional scholarships. We are now looking to expand our scope of work by networking with schools, through our two separate programmes, we are aiming to make school buildings greener and the students more environmental conscious and gender-friendly.
