The mission of the Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Child Development is advancing science through exploration of psychopathology in children and adolescents; psychotherapy process and outcomes; early childhood stress/trauma; and psychological adjustment. Our goal is to increase understanding of the pathophysiology of youth mental health concerns including mood, addictions, childhood medical, anxiety, and autism related disorders using innovative translational approaches ranging from Psychoanalysis to Imaging and Ayurvedicclinical trials.

Dyslexia is a learning disorder that involves difficulty in reading because of the problem identifying speech sounds and learning, & also how they relate to letters and words (decoding). This is also called reading disability sometimes.

Dyslexia affects areas of the brain that process language.

Children with dyslexia have normal intelligence and usually have normal vision. Most children with dyslexia can succeed in school with Treatment and specialized education program. Emotional support also plays an important role.

When there is a significant deficiency in present functioning generally starts before the age of 18 years and is characterised significantly by subaverage intelligence along with limitations in communication, self care, social skills, home living, self direction, academics, work or leisure.

Causes
The main cause of cerebral palsy is abnormal brain development, most often before a child is born. In many cases, the cause is unknown. Other causes that can lead to problems with brain development include:

Gene mutations that lead to abnormal development
Maternal infections (During Pregnancy) that affect the developing fetus
Fetal stroke, a disruption of blood supply to the developing brain in the womb
Injury of the brain in the womb or as a newborn
Infant infections that cause inflammation in or around the brain such as Meningitis or encephalitis
Traumatic head injury to an infant from a motor vehicle accident or fall

Cerebral Palsy (CP) is group of disorders consist mainly affected body movement and muscle coordination. The main signs and symptoms include stiff muscles, poor coordination, weak muscles and tremors along with unsteady walking and involuntary movements, which is seen in many patients. With this, patient may have problems in swallowing and eye muscles imbalance.

But a true narcissist is having a mental disorder called as Narcissistic personality disorder. The common characteristics of narcissism are :

a) An exaggerated sense of self importance
b) A deep need for admiration and excessive attention
c) Lack of empathy towards others and

You too are important to yourself!!

"Simplify your life and sn**ch some of the precious moments for yourself". You can't perform many tasks at one time rather it decreases your efficiency to perform. It may also lead to stressful life with weak immunity and impaired memory.

1. Learn to delegate the work by asking your family, friends or colleagues to do few things for you sometimes.
2. Learn to say 'No'
Learn to cut out on unwanted activities which drain your energy and time including unwanted gossiping here and there.
3. Shop online or sometimes in bulk at once to save time and energy in buying at last moment for the important birthdays or dinners at home.
4. Keep your important keys, glasses or any other things at one place to find them easily to avoid hassles of the last moment.
