Movement Matters is a wellness initiative dedicated to enhancing the mental and physical well-being of our society by teaching simple things like adopting better posture, using natural breathing techniques and efficient emotional habits in daily life.
Mohita Singh, Founder of Movement Matters, is a Somatic & Expressive Movement Facilitator, dedicated to enriching the physical and emotional strength of people through Movement Therapy programs. She is a certified & registered member with the Conseil Internationale de la danse -CID- France (UNESCO) or the International Dance Council, and Creative Movement Therapy Association of India CMTAI).
She became a movement educator after she lost nearly all ability to move. Having experienced injury-trauma, and losing the ability to perform simple daily, Mohita is the best example of how movement therapy helps mind, body and soul to heal from past injuries. She also believes that with a good physical foundation, emotional and intellectual expression too become richer.

And thus Movement Matters was conceived
In Movement matters, the sessions are designed to present quality content to make the complex simple and fun, thus enabling participants to learn movement secrets that help them live with greater ease & efficiency.
This results in increased physical and psychological efficiency in their daily lives. By applying scientific principles of Movement Therapy & Psychotherapy many physical & emotional concerns are resolved.

Our forte lies in two spaces -
1. In developing scientific, innovative and comprehensive movement lessons and to make the complex science of movement simple and fun
2.In the therapeutic use of poems, narratives, dance, drama, story-telling and art to enhance posture and breathing techniques.
Movement Matters is a unique space to explore ourselves using something as natural as Movement Therapy. Our sessions are experiential in nature and scientifically designed by certified Movement Therapist and facilitators
At Movement Matters we help people understand how our movements are related to thoughts and feelings, and how wellness and balance in one, affects the other.
We help explore how mind and body are in constant reciprocal dialogue with each other. Essentially help you understand the language of your mind and body so you can also consciously partake in this dialogue.
Simply put, Movement Therapy helps us resolve many physical and emotional concerns by applying scientific principles of psychotherapy and using the body's natural expression to achieve physical, mental , emotional and spiritual well being.

Movement Matters is proud to report that in less than one year of its inception it has been able to offer successful and satisfactory services to a vast repertoire of clients in India which includes LG Electronics, Step-By-Step School Noida, Goonj, Rotary Vidya Kendra, Saket and a large number of individual and group clients.
We have assisted planned and administered a range of therapeutic movement programs involving active and passive ranges of mental and physical education programs for underprivileged women and children .
Educated friends, colleagues and family members regarding diagnosis injury prevention and therapeutic treatments .
We keep abreast of new and developing information in the mental and physical field by regularly attending professional conferences and workshops .
In our zeal to provide most advanced and Internationally established modalities of CMT practices to our clients we have for the last two consecutive years regularly participated, learnt and grown in the Annual International conferences on Creative Arts Therapies by CMTAI, Artsphere (Pune) , Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts(Pune) and Christ University Bangalore for the years 2016 & 2017
