As a coach, I wanted to take a moment to address the unique role you play in your child's tennis journey. Supporting a young athlete on the court requires a special blend of encouragement, understanding, and a commitment to the process, not just the wins.
Remember that your child is playing for themselves, not for you: While your enthusiasm is appreciated, try to avoid overly critical comments during matches. Instead, focus on positive reinforcement and offering constructive feedback after the game.
Trust the coaching process: We are here to guide your child's development with a personalized approach. Communicate any concerns openly, but allow the coach to make strategic decisions on the court.
Prioritize sportsmanship and character: Winning is important, but always remember that respect for opponents, officials, and the game itself is paramount.
Be patient with ups and downs: Tennis is a challenging sport with its share of setbacks. Celebrate victories, but also use losses as learning opportunities to build resilience.
Foster a love for the game: Encourage your child to enjoy the process of practicing and playing, not just the results.
Open communication is key: Reach out to us anytime you have questions or concerns about your child's progress.
Thank you for your dedication to your child's tennis development. We look forward to working with you to nurture their passion and potential on the court.
Sincerely,
[Bhanu Kiran Jonnada]
