🌟 *Honoured to Serve – RCC District Director RID 3070 🌟*

I extend my sincere thanks to *District Governor Rtn. Rohit Oberoi Ji* for entrusting me with the responsibility of
*District Director – Rotary Community Corps (RCC), RID 3070 for Rotary Year 2025–26.*
I assure you of my wholehearted commitment to expanding the RCC movement and building stronger, self-reliant communities across our district.

πŸ•Š *RID 3070 – The Birthplace of a Global Movement*
Our district holds a historic place in the global Rotary story.
*The Rotary Community Corps (RCC) program was officially launched in 1986 by RI President M.A.T. Caparas.*
At that time, it was introduced as Rotary Village Corps (RVC).
*Past RI President Rtn. Raja Saboo served as the RI Chair* for this visionary global movement.
It was in RID 3070, under the leadership of
*Late Rtn. Kanwar Hari Singh, Past President of RC Una,* that the world’s first RVC was founded in 1986 at *Ishpur Village, Una (Himachal Pradesh).*

🌍 This pioneering effort drew global attention, and Past RI President Raja Saboo personally visited Ishpur to witness its impact.

πŸ”Ή *What is RCC?*
Rotary Community Corps (RCC) is a powerful Rotary initiative that mobilizes non-Rotarians to work alongside Rotary clubs on service projects that directly address local needs.
βœ… Sponsored by Rotary clubs
βœ… Led by community volunteers
βœ… Focused on grassroots challenges
βœ… Sustainable and long-term impact
βœ… Project Areas: education, healthcare, sanitation, livelihood, environment & more
RCCs empower communities to take ownership of their development β€” making service more inclusive, sustainable, and impactful.

Let us take pride in our legacy and move ahead with passion to build vibrant RCCs that echo the true spirit of
*"Service Above Self."*

With Regards,
🌿 *Rtn. PP Manoj Kanwar*
District Director – RCC 2025–26
