I extend my sincere thanks to *District Governor Rtn. Rohit Oberoi Ji* for entrusting me with the responsibility of

π *RID 3070 β The Birthplace of a Global Movement*
Our district holds a historic place in the global Rotary story.
*The Rotary Community Corps (RCC) program was officially launched in 1986 by RI President M.A.T. Caparas.*
At that time, it was introduced as Rotary Village Corps (RVC).
*Past RI President Rtn. Raja Saboo served as the RI Chair* for this visionary global movement.
It was in RID 3070, under the leadership of
*Late Rtn. Kanwar Hari Singh, Past President of RC Una,* that the worldβs first RVC was founded in 1986 at *Ishpur Village, Una (Himachal Pradesh).*
π This pioneering effort drew global attention, and Past RI President Raja Saboo personally visited Ishpur to witness its impact.
