Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (GAPIO) is an association of Indian doctors settled in 58 countries including India.

GAPIO honors the best Surgeon (from all specialities of surgery) and the best from Diagnostics field from across the world.

Dr Garg was chosen for *GAPIO Surgical Excellence Award in Distinguished category* Award.

A plaque, momento and a cash award of INR 1,00,000 was presented in Mysuru, India on 18 Jan, 2025 to Dr Garg for his innovations and excellence at Global level

Dr Garg is extremely popular in China as hundreds of surgeons in China are doing and following Dr Garg's Inventions especially TROPIS procedure for Complex a**l fistulas and Garg Classification for a**l fistulas

It was an exhilarating experience being invited as a keynote speaker at annual conference of *Russian Society of Colorectal Surgeons (RSCS), Moscow*

INTERESTING thing was meeting top Surgeons from China who told that Dr Garg is immensely popular in China and his new inventions are highly sought after.

They raised a toast for me (I raised with water !) & have invited me to deliver Keynote lecture and perform live surgery in Guangzhou, China next month in annual conference of Asia Alliance of Colorectal Surgeons.

Honour to deliver first *Dr SD Chivate Oration* on- *INNOVATION IS A STATE OF MIND*. It was mesmerizing and motivating at the same time and received a standing ovation.

The oration is motivating for every doctor, budding professionals and youth of the country as it highlighted that innovation can be done by anyone and is independent of place, institution or resources. As Dr Garg has demonstrated that top level innovations can be done at Global level without any resources or help from any organisation.

GARG INCONTINENCE SCORES

There were several scoring systems to assess f***l incontinence but there were gross lacunae in them. For a long time, a need was felt for a new scoring system.

We developed a new statistically robust scoring system this year.

Glad to see that it's being reviewed and published nicely across the world 🌎
