PRECISION 2026, hosted by Precise Speciality Eye Care, was conducted successfully on Sunday, 8th February 2026, at O by Tamara, Trivandrum, bringing together an inspiring day of academic exchange, clinical insight, and meaningful interaction among ophthalmology professionals.
This CME was designed in a unique, question-based format, FAQs in ophthalmology. We gathered questions directly from delegates so that specific clinical, diagnostic, and management dilemmas are pinpointed and solved by our expert panel of speakers.
The event began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Jayaram V R, Chairman of Precise Speciality Eye Care followed by the inaugural address by Dr. Rajiv Sukumaran, President of KSOS.
The Excellence in Ophthalmology Award – Precision 2026 was proudly presented to Dr. Susheela Prabhakaran by Prof. Dr. Lingam Gopal, recognising her outstanding contributions to the field.
The academic highlight of the day was the Signature Oration by Prof. Dr. Lingam Gopal on _“Retina Imaging – Past, Present and Future”_, a session that was both visionary and deeply insightful, leaving a lasting impression on all delegates.
The scientific sessions were thoughtfully structured and expertly delivered:
🔹 Scientific Session 1 – Glaucoma
This session addressed practical FAQs in glaucoma work-up, medical management, lasers, and MIGS. The faculty included Dr. Manoj Prathapan, Dr. Meena Nair, and Dr. Bindu S. Ajith.
🔹 Scientific Session 2 – Retina & Neuro-Ophthalmology
Engaging talks on uveitis, diabetic macular edema, and disc edema were delivered by Dr. Prakash V. S., Dr. Rajesh Puthussery, and Dr. Thomas Arun Varghese.
🔹 Scientific Session 3 – Cornea & Cataract
Real-world challenges in refractive surgery, ocular surface disorders, and IOL decision-making were expertly discussed by Dr. Ananth D., Dr. Anish Madhavan, and Dr. Jayaram V R, making the session highly relevant to everyday clinical practice.
This was followed by an energetic and competitive quiz session that encouraged postgraduate participation and reinforced clinical knowledge in an engaging format.
The program concluded with felicitation of faculty, heartfelt appreciation for all speakers and organizers, and enthusiastic participation from delegates, making PRECISION 2026 a truly memorable and academically enriching experience.
