Today as we all celebrate kojagiri purnima (Sharad purnima) 🌕it is essential to understand science behind it.
Sharad rutu (September-October) is considered as pitta prakop kala ( when the heat outside as well as inside the body increases 🥵From monsoon we are heading towards winter so there is lot of climatic changes we see around.
The heat outside melts down the kapha (mucus) inside the body and increases the pitta or acidity at the same time.
So usually in this season we see lots of patients with cold ,cough ,fever ,urticaria (pittam) ,rash ,itching ,severe acidity ,headaches or skin related issues aggravating .
In Indian culture we consider moon rays have cool curative properties and this rays are strongest during full moon hence we celebrate kojagiri poornima or Sharad poornima.
On this day We consume cows milk with dry fruits and masala like cardamom pepper nutmeg cloves turmeric mix with sugar cubes (khadisakhar) and pure ghee which gives coolent effects as well as improve digestion which settles down the kapha in the body.
This milk you can consume throughout Sharad rutu .
And still if your suffering from pitta dushti Ayurveda have suggested panchakarma procedures called Virechan and Raktamokshan for which please meet your nearest Ayurveda doctor instead googling out on YouTube 😂
🚫Don’t
Over boil milk 🥛 and make basundi as it increases kapha or can say will be heavy to digest causing more acidity
🚫 Don’t consume non veg oily spicy food with this milk if you’re planning to have a get together with friends and family on this night
And if you can then listen to a soft calming music 🎵 on this night and sit outside the moonlight and see how nature helps us to heal naturally 💚
