A one-day workshop was successfully conducted at GMC to raise awareness about pediatric palliative care among pediatricians in Goa. The workshop aimed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge & skills necessary to provide compassionate & comprehensive care.

The event saw an impressive turnout, with 150 participants in attendance. This included 110 doctors, 30 nurses, counselors, and medical social workers, all dedicated to enhancing their understanding of pediatric palliative care.

The workshop featured expert-led sessions on pain management, psychosocial support, and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in pediatric palliative care. Interactive discussions and case studies provided practical insights and fostered a collaborative learning environment.

This initiative marks a significant step towards improving the quality of life for young patients and their families in Goa. By empowering healthcare professionals with the right tools and knowledge, we are ensuring that every child receives the compassionate and specialized care they deserve.

On 8th September 2023, not only did we celebrate World Physiotherapy Day, but also the 10th anniversary of our esteemed Physiotherapy course. The occasion was graced by Dr. Geeta Kakodkar, Prof. Dr. S M Bandekar, Dr. Rajesh Patil, Prof Dr. Jagadish Cacodkar, and Dr. Sandip Sardessai, launching a special booklet to honor this milestone.

The week was packed with riveting competitions - from creative reels to DIY assistive devices, ending with an award ceremony recognizing budding talents. Here's to many more years of nurturing and innovation in physiotherapy!
