KSHAR SUTRA
It is an ayurvadic medicated thread made by kshar of appamarg,latex from snuhi and powder of haridra used in the management of fistula in ano and piles.K.S has been described in all the ancient books of ayurveda as caustic thread not only for the treatment of fistula in ano,but also for all those conditions which demand gradual excision of overgrown soft tissue. The non healing chronic sinuses. The K.S has its own limitations.its maen to prevent its misuse,so that it does not fall into disrepute.the selection of patient is very important as also their proper investigation. Preparation of K.S is a technique derived from the ancient ayurvedic text books.it is a procedure that is undergone many changes and passas through many stages. For the preparation of K.S,we need some essential component of K.S. Those essential ingredient listed below:-
ESSENTIAL INGREDIENT
1. Fresh latex of plant euphorbia nerifolia.
2. Spl.prepared alkaline powder derived from achyranthes aspera.
3. Powder of rhizomes of curcuma lonya. Some other practisional used.
