IVF is Not Just a Procedure. It’s a Preparation.

In today’s practice, many women seeking IVF are in their late 30s or 40s — beyond the conventional peak fertility years. Unlike spontaneous pregnancies, IVF pregnancies often occur in bodies that may already be dealing with hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disorders, obesity, anemia, vitamin deficiencies, or chronic stress.

An IVF-positive report is a beautiful milestone — but by then, we lose the opportunity to correct many underlying risk factors.

🔹 The antenatal period in IVF pregnancies demands greater vigilance.
🔹 There is a higher chance of complications, including multiple gestations.
🔹 High-dose hormonal support, especially progesterone supplementation, adds metabolic load.
🔹 Sudden obstetric complications can challenge even otherwise stable systems.

As IVF specialists, our responsibility does not begin with stimulation protocols. It begins much earlier.

Before initiating a cycle, we must:

âś” Optimize blood pressure and blood sugar
âś” Correct anemia and micronutrient deficiencies
âś” Address obesity and metabolic syndrome
âś” Evaluate liver function when prolonged hormonal support is anticipated
âś” Screen and support mental health and chronic stress

Founder Dr. Neena Gupta established Nitin hospital in 1981. It moved to its present location in year 1986 in central commercial area of Leela Bhawan market in year 1986 being oldest private health care provider in Patiala. Nitin hospital is a pioneer in laparoscopic and endoscopic general and gynae surgery since 1994. Since then more than 30 thousand common and complex endoscopic operations have been performed at this hospital. It started services for Infertile couples in the year 2014 with state of the art and ICMR approved IVF lab and other facility under Dr. Rajni Gupta trained and dedicated to infertility treatment. Nitin hospital had been expanding its facility from time to time and has three modular operation rooms fully equipped with world class equipment and patient safety measures. It has all patient conveniences like consultation rooms , fully climate controlled private Srooms a labour room , waiting areas, pharmacy, testing, TPA, computer and MRD departments and a canteen. Nitin Hospital has aquired NABH accreditation (entry level ) in Jan 2020.
