Successfully conducted the Cancer Awareness-cum-Screening Camp at Bhatin Panchayat Bhavan, Potka, on January 31st!

In an impactful collaboration with RAF Global, we took a decisive step toward rural health empowerment. The focus was clear: breaking the silence around Cervical Cancer and educating the community on the life-saving potential of the HPV Vaccine.

Major Milestones of the Day:
Screening for Success: Conducted primary screenings for numerous local women, emphasizing that early detection is the best cure.

HPV Vaccine Advocacy: Addressed the importance of vaccination in preventing Cervical Cancer and provided a clear roadmap for families.

Debunking Myths: Directly engaged with the residents of Potka to replace fear with facts and encourage regular health check-ups.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of spending my afternoon at the Dhatkidih Community Centre in Bishtupur, Jamshedpur, engaging in a much-needed conversation with the transgender community.
As an oncology expert, it is often heartbreaking to see how many communities are left behind in our healthcare narratives. Our discussion focused on two critical pillars: The right to dignified healthcare and Cancer prevention.
We deep-dived into the importance of the HPV vaccination. While often misunderstood, this vaccine is a powerful shield against several types of cancers. Explaining the science behind HPV and why the transgender community must have equal access to this preventive care was the highlight of my day.
Equality isn't just about social acceptance; it’s about ensuring that life-saving medical advancements reach everyone, regardless of their gender identity.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at 3 PM. Your presence turned a meeting into a movement. Let’s continue to work together for a healthier, more inclusive Jamshedpur. 🌸
