He has an experience of over 10 years in treating kidney diseases. He has worked at IGIMS (Patna) , AIIMS (Patna) , Paras HMRI (Patna) previously.

It was an absolute delight to participate at the ISN Eastzone Mid Term CME held at Bhagalpur in the swanky Superspeciality Block of JLN Medical College and Hospital. It was an excellent panel discussion on 'Diabetic Kidney Disease' where I was an expert panelist.
The session was moderated by Dr Upal Sen Gupta from Kolkata. My co-panelists were Dr Deepak and Dr Atma Prakash.
The conference was well organised by Dr Himadri Shankar and Dr Manoj Gupta .

It was an absolute privilege and delight to present my paper at the European Nephrology Conference ERA-EDTA 2025 . This time it was held at Vienna (capital of Austria). As expected it was an excellent academic gathering of best minds. My paper was the only paper from Bihar to be presented at this conference (to the best of my knowledge).
Also Vienna or Wein as they call locally (Just like New Delhi and Dilli) was a beautiful place with lot of historic places.

Participated as an expert Panelist at the national conference about role of nutrition in kidney patients SRNMCON 2025 which was held for the first time in Patna , Bihar.
We discussed about the dietary changes that happen in a patient undergoing kidney transplant. The session was moderated by Dr Swarnalatha G (Prof and Head Nephrology , NIMS Hyderabad). My co-panelist was Dr Pinaki Mukherjee from Kolkata. My humble thanks to organisers Dr Prof Hemant Kumar sir , Dr Prof Om Kumar Sir , Dr Prof PritPal Singh sir and Dr Shashi Kumar sir for giving me this opportunity and a lot of congratulations for a successful conference.

Few days back we successfully discharged another Kidney transplant patient. He was a resident of Samastipur district of Bihar. This was a unique case as the donor who was mother was 70 years old. However on detailed evaluation she was found to be fit as a donor. She was medically fitter than many 50 year olds. Thus , justifying the saying 'age is just a number'.
Donor was already discharged after 4 days of surgery.
The successful transplant was not without hiccups and problems. However we overcame all of them and finally the patient went smiling. Thanks to an amazing support from team of urologists Dr Apurva , Anshuman Aashu , Dr Vikash , Dr Om Pawar , Dr Vijay Shankar Pd and nephrologist Jamshed Anwer and Dr Shashi. Not to forget the role of nurses , transplant coordinator and above all Anil ji (facility director Paras).

It was a great privilege to deliver a guest lecture to Post graduate students of Pathology at DMCH , Darbhanga. Nephrology and pathology are deeply interlinked and many diagnosis in nephrology are impossible without a renal histopathologist.
Hopefully some of these young pathologists choose renal pathology as their career.
Special thanks to Dr Poonam mam , Dr H S Mishra sir , Dr R K Rajan sir and other faculties for this opportunity.

The world kidney day 2024 is now over. Social media is full of posts showing various functions / meets / marathons / walkathons organised at various places on this day.
While the world kidney day is over , kidney diseases remain. It is here that the real purpose of world kidney day starts - to keep the torch of awareness lighted throught the year.

विश्व किडनी दिवस २०२४ कल समाप्त हो गया। फेसबुक ऐसे पोस्ट से भरा पड़ा है जिसमे विभिन्न स्थान पर आयोजित समारोह, कार्यक्रम , दौड़ आदि हुए ।
किडनी दिवस तो समाप्त हो गया लेकिन किडनी संबंधित बीमारियां अभी भी हैं और रहेंगी। इसलिए विश्व किडनी दिवस के मूल मंत्र को आगे बढ़ाते हुए किडनी बीमारियों के प्रति जागरूकता को बढ़ाना है।

Privileged to chair a session at ISN-EAST Zone Annual conference at Patna. Speaker was Dr AK Baidya (ISN East secretary and renouned nephrologist of Ranchi).
It was an important session about long term outcomes of AKI (Acute Kidney Injury) , where everyone agreed that AKI might not be as benign as thought earlier.
